OH MY ... this one took me over 6 hours to do, which includes images and story.

    Journal Entry 24

It's a rather long entry due to how complex the Tomb of Lord Tsang is, but I hope you read it all, and I hope you find it a good read.

Please note that I left out a lot of the details and some of the quests that you find in this area mostly because I just didn't have the time to cover it all.

Thanks Morty for keeping up the Journal entries as I do enjoy reading them all. :)

Greetings and Salutations HEG Fans. This Saturday the HEG continued it's journey towards the mighty dungeon of Trengal Keep by exploring Cairnworth Hall. Bandobra, our Disciple, had been called away. The healing duties fell to none other than Morty, who did a great job by the way. We obtained some relics, a bracelet and some shackles for a few of the locals. Again we battled Gulgrethor Orc ghosts and spirits of Cairnworth Hall, along with some Shinak Assassins to boot. We downed a few named ghosts and beat down the Houndmaster. All in all it was another successful evening fro the HEG. We had a little extra time and took Morty to see the grand desert Qalian city of Ahgram. Tune in later in the week for Morty's Journal for all the details.

Hint: Waylian had been fishing earlier in the evening and managed to slip a fish in Morty's pocket before we entered Ahgram...... :D

Now for a special addition. Bullo has done a great job tanking for the group and his induction in to the HEG as an officer. We are honoring Bullo with his own HEG Scout cookie! That's right HEG fans, they are now available in Rindol Field from your very own HEG Scouts.

Sweet, my own HEG Scout Cookies! Nothing beats a 'freshly cracked opened watermelon'! :D Cracking open a watermelon is the only way to eat one. No knives needed here! :p

I'm looking forward to reading this entry as it promises to be one full of adventure. I know it'll be as good as all the others!

Just wanted to capitalize on Waylian's (Enkur's) last post ...

I took all his cookie ideas and put them in a post that will last longer than the Vanguard Forums in which he originally posted the HEG Scout Cookies idea.

    HEG Scout Cookies

It was an awesome idea ... thanks Enkur for the AWESOMENESS that is cookies!

It's REALLY late, and Journal Entry 26 is still due to you guys ... :(

Anyway .. here is #25 ... I hope you like it, even though it's not as good I believe as others I have written because I didn't have as much time to proof read and change things like I normally do.

    Journal Entry 25

    Enjoy ...

Well Met HEG Fans and Telonites! This past Saturday marks the begining of the HEG's last major Dungeon exploration. We decided to make Trengal Keep our last hurrah. We completed parts 1 & 2 and will be back for more the last two Saturdays of the month to finish this awesome dungeon. We still had a lot of fun but there was an undertone of somberness to our group. So much to do and so little time. But I will digress. It appears the HEG has made a bitter enemies with the Gulgrethor Orcs and the Shinak Goblins. We kicked their butts at the Gulgrethor Fortress, we banished their ghosts from Castle Landsview and Cairnworth Hall, yet here we are again meeting the same mighty foe at Trengal Keep. You can read up on Trengal Keep lore here, though the wonderful pics that did accompany this article no longer show up. Not only did we encounter Orcs, Goblins & Worgs but we took on Blackened/Scorched Skeletons, Mutated Beetles/Spiders, Ebonwing Drakes, Summoned Storms, Wandering Meteor Fragments, and the Essence of Koth Teros. We downed the Orc Spiritweaver, Tagrish "The Cruel", the Goblin Worgmaster, Brek and the Giant Spider, Draxxen "Bride of Koth Teros". As always tune in later on this week for Morty's Journal entry for the rest of the story................

Hail HEG fans and Telonites! This Saturday the HEG continued it's full assault on the Ruins of Trengal Keep. We got an early start and finished late but we were determined to finish as much as possible. We completed Trengal Keep Parts 3 thru 6 and Nishek's Summoning. We hacked and slashed through Mutated Beetles & Spiders. We explorer the Chamber of Forthos and Summoner's Sanctum slaying as many Arcanium Shinaks as possible. We then dealt a huge blow to the Stormlord Orcs and Goblins. The trek then continued to the deep down to the Ancient Shrine. Many a Orc fell to our might and magic. We found the Meteor Ring of Nishek and returned it to Sage Ezelun. In the process we aquired Nishek's Whip in which the Sage altered it so that we may summon her. We ran in to Worgmaster Brek yet again, D'karrkrojrolak, and Grakkar the Strategist. They fell to our mighty prowess as well. Back to the Ancient Shrine we went and summoned Nishek, A battle ensued against her and her minions. The battle raged on and .................................... well sorry you have to wait for Morty's Journal entry for the rest of the story. ;):D

Like everything else we eventually figure it out! :D It was a lot of fun still. Gonna miss this game a lot when it's closed down.

It was fun and it's always fun grouping with the HEG! :) Thanks to Waylian for helping locate where we needed to go... as I was getting quite tired and was getting ready for head imprints from my keyboard! :D

Vanguard will be a game that I'll miss. There's no other game out there like it and there's going to be a big empty space in the MMO world to fill. I know of no other game out there that has all the things that Vanguard offers. If not for the HEG, I'd probably take an extended break from online gaming, but now I'm looking forward to more adventures with the HEG no matter where we go!

I am pretty sure I speak for everyone, when I say ... We are very happy you made your way to our little group Dhelmar.

You are a great addition to the HEG, and have been a HUGE joy to play with. I hope you are around for a long time to come, and even when we are not playing together anymore I hope I will still be able to keep in touch.

I too look forward to where ever we go, but will miss Vanguard.

I have enjoyed my experience in Vanguard. This year will be some of the best memories because of The Halfling Explorer Group and it's members (present and past). It has truly been a pleasure to game with you all. I look forward to tonight, our last adventure, with all our current members.

Tis a mighty foe we face indeed. The battle will be long, our wills and might will be tested to our very limits. We will draw strength from one another (though I think Band gets all his strength from pie), side by side we shall stand tall against this unchecked evil of Telon. The redshirt...er Bullo, will lead the fight with great courage (I don't quite understand his pre-battle ritual of cracking open a watermelon...but hey whatever works for him). Mortylis by his side (if he doesn't get lost) delivering smiting blow after smiting blow. Bandobra will provide the awesome heals and spinning heel kicks. Yebral and his brother will clank a few tankards together (down lots of ale till they are handstand drunk) then pummel our enemies with mighty fists and dark magiks. Waylian (after taking a long drag from his pipe), will use his stealth and prowess with daggers to do much damage to all who oppose us in this fight. The HEG will emerge victorious!

I know some of us will get together during the week, and yes as painful as it may be, I will be there when the plug is pulled.

Let not your heart be troubled though, our journey may be ending in Telon on Thursday , yet there is another place to begin anew.

    LONG LIVE THE HEG!

Greetings HEG fans and fellow Telonites! This past Saturday the HEG wrapped up another successful Saturday with the final event at Trengal Keep. The Halfling Explorer Group took on Nishek one last time for fun, then proceeded to summon Karujin Gulgrethor. For those who may not know of him, his armies rolled through the Kojan Orc city of Martok and occupy Khenvor. His navy waged havoc on the seas in and around Martok. They occupied, the renamed (currently baring his name) Gulgrethor Fortress. The HEG has been thwarting his armies for months. After Kojan the HEG had to pick up his armies trail on the continent of Thestra. First Landsview Castle, then Cairnworth Hall, and finally Trengal Keep. We had beaten his children and their followers badly to this point. So we began the summoning........ Karujin was nothing like any orc we had seen before. His body had been corrupted by the meteors that struck the ruins. The HEG pressed in on him, then he was gone in a flash. Before we knew it, his children appeared and attacked us. We stood our ground chopping each one down one by one, till none other were left but Karujin himself. He was strong beyond belief, but fear was not an option here. The HEG put in all they had against Karujin until he fell. Thus ended the HEG's final dungeon run in Telon.

With literally some time to kill, the HEG made the trek over to the Arena near Seawatch Coast. To well, kill some time and a few mobs. The HEG found some shadey spectators in the stands who had to be dealt with. In the arena the HEG downed foe after foe, with many betting against them I must say.

Then it was time to go home, back to The Baron's Tooth Tavern in Rindol Field. The farewell to Telon party began. Much pie, ale, wine and watermelon was consumed to the wonderful music of the local Bard Halflings. Merriment, dancing and laughter filled the tavern. I am sure in all their minds a soberness did dwell. Though the HEG had won many battles against the relentless evil in Telon, yet it was not enough to save her. So ends the adventures of The Halfling Explorer Group in Telon.

It's WAY LATE ... I know, but here it is none the less.

    Journal Entry 26

You will notice the intro to the entry is from week 26, because I wanted to post it that week, but that didn't happen. Instead of rewriting it though, I decided I would leave it in, because that is what I wrote that week, and it should just remain.

Anyway, I hope you enjoy it.
