  1. SOE, you need to look closely at what Prosieben is doing now - Hiring volunteer GM's to handle payment for its customers?
That is not right in any way!
I am not signing over my details to a volunteer guy who conned Prosieben into thinking they are good teamplayers....

  2. Prosiben is also deleting posts over at the DCUO forums now, that people have posted, claiming "Privacy", even though the privacy is for the custumer to decide?
They also have this hilarious statement regarding the increasing weird "closed" tickets that people keep getting without any answers to their tickets :

Desmonemo (PSS1 CS): "We are just renaming the ticket status "closed", because it never meant the ticket was actually "closed". In fact this status was activated whenever a ticket was "replied". We don´t close tickets while the problem still exists. This would be a shame and I fully understand that you were upset. The status name was really confusing."

Thanks to Pipsiwa for the find and the links.

Wow... well that would really suck if I cant keep my account either way now. Even if I stay unsubscribeb im in a bad spot with this since I could only make a new account in south america and new chars and not continue on my char since 5 years...

Piestro this would be a question that I would really appreciate an answer to. What client will be adequate for me? I registered my account as European but have played it from Brazil alot. And hope to be able to continue playing from there, will this be possible or will I be landlocked to Europe to even be able to acces my account?

You'll be fine playing from Brazil. No worries on that at all. Travel is well accounted for.

This is normal, and what they should be doing. Specifics of CS actions should remain private, this is also the policy on the SOE Forums.
  6. Piestro wrote:
I disagree. If CS is taking shortcuts or stomping on player rights, it should be public information.
  7. And the matter that Prosieben is hiring volunteers to handle payment details isnt worrying to SOE?
  8. Piestro wrote:
Thanks alot Piestro really appreciate the straight answer!

    Couldn't agree more.
But oh my, good luck with all of this SOE :/
  10. Would be nice to get a response on the utterly crap customerserive responses from pro sieben ect instead of ignoring those all together ...ore are you trying to get inline with their service so we getting used to that kind of service?
  11. You know - After EQ2 players have been waiting for all the major answers for 6 months by now, I dont have the patience to play the same game here.
THe game is fun, and its getting better, but as it is now, with the move to Prosieben and no responses to the major issues I'm out.
Guild Wars 2 is here by now, and will cover my MMO interest nicely! It was fun being back Vanguard, but the aggrevation isnt really worth it!
EDIT: Send me an email when the Prosieben deal has crashed and burned, and then I'll be back!
  12. There´s a pss1 panel at Soe live with a pss1 team. Brasse wrote in EQ2 Forum that fans can ask Questions directly. So hurry up, we Europeans have to rent some Planes to fly to the states for asking Questions about european related issues. LOL
  13. I've also been following this discussion over at the EQ and EQ2 forums and wanted to share some of the responses they are getting here.

Now I have no doubt that (1) will be resolved as it makes PSS1 more money and Brasse's post suggests that (2) is being resolved as I type.
    (4) I can secure myself by buying a year sub in the run up to the transition, not partaking of micro-transactions and making future payments by a secure means (disposable credit card / paypal / gamecard). I shouldn't have to but still.
For me (3) is the sticking point, specifically with regard to in-game customer support. I am not planning to make payments, and I don't think I have EVER used the technical support line but Vanguard requires good in-game support far more than other games.
I agree with Piestro that "3 is not something that we can easily demonstrate." and "The best experience for our players would be if it was completely unnoticable who was doing what" so the best way to demonstrate would be to do it - let's look at DCUO.

I'm not going to repost the reports regarding PSS1's customer service in DCUO, or the adverts for "Voluntary Game Masters" who have "Played DCUO for several months" because this post is already huge.
Excellent customer service is not something you can easily demonstrate, but it is something that Vanguard players especially need and all the demonstrations we are getting at the moment is that it isn't something we will get.
  14. Smedley just tweeted this! (read from bottom and up)

Also Prosieben has done a great job of listening and is working on changing some of their CS policies. More to come on that soon.

I want to be clear that Prosieben will have better European CS and payment options IMO. That's why we went with them in the first place.
no matter which service they are on.

launch on Prosieben's service new accounts will be created on their sites. However all US and EU players can still play together

SOE accounts and stay with SOE. Down the road we may offer an option to move over to Prosieben. Just to be clear after these games

We've found a way to let existing players of our current games that are migrating over to Prosieben (EQ, EQ II, Planetside 2) keep their
wanted to thank our players for continuing feedback. We've been listening along with our European partners at Prosieben.

So - does this mean I can stay with SOE and play Vanguard even though my subscription isnt active?
  15. Hello Vanguard team? Any response? What on earth is happening with Vanguard now? Will it, or won't it be transferred to Prosieben, and can europeans stay with SOE like on EQ, EQ2 and Planetside, who all have the same thing in common, namely an expansion coming out /being a new game?
  16. Piestro has confirmed on the EQ board that the announcement by Smed relates only to the three games mentioned in the announcement, namely EQ, EQ2 and PS2. I believe they are the only titles in the PSS1 deal currently running pre-orders. Draw your own conclusion as to why they've been opened back up to the European players who weren't willing to do business with PSS1.
Anyway, sad to say but Vanguard isn't included in the announcement and seemingly will therefore transition to PSS1 in due course. I regret that very much personally, partly because it is absurd to adopt half a solution to a massive problem when it would make perfect sense to apply the change across the board, and partly because I won't come back myself unless VG and EQNext are going to be available to play through SOE.
    Piestro's answer is here:-

  17. Yeah, I'm out if Vanguard isnt part of this deal after all.
Whats truly amazing is the fact that they refuse to comment on it all on their own forum. On EQ and EQ2 forums they do so freely. I guess they don't know what to say.
