Back before SOE made VG F2P I was looking for an emulator. I remember reading some topics on EQEmu saying that they just didn't have the stuff they needed to do it. I was sad because I knew it was a matter of time before they dumped the game. So I am so glad to see this is possibly going to happen.

I have never been solely dedicated to the game. But it's always been my go-to game in between other games I've tried. I always come back to VG! But, I DON'T pay attention to news and announcements. I left VG for FFXIV, and now that FFXIV became a big bore I went to get back into VG only to hear the sad news it was closing down.

I've been dedicated to community for VG whenever I am playing it and was a major contributor to the Official Vanguard Wiki. I want to do the same for this community!

We've only got a couple of months to gather data and I've tried in the past to find a data miner for VG without success. And SOE at one point told us they were gonna give us the data info for our wiki but never did. So, is there a data miner out there? I'd like to start gathering as much information as possible. I have a feeling the majority of the community will be leaving the game before it closes which will hinder data mining items. But the sooner I can start doing this the better!
