data collection plz

was told this was the route to go if I wanted to save my character "indirectly" since sony is words I can't politely say about holding onto things they don't use. Also, I might not have a lot of time (VG will shut down before I get a chance to start seriously playing) but if there's anything in pituclar u you want me to do for data collection let me know plz.

You can get a "snap-shot" of your live Vanguard character by setting up the VG Packet Collector per the instructions in the Data Collection forum, and simply logging into the game as that character. Be sure to open all dialogs for inventory and abilities and mouse-over everything at least once to get a full picture of your character's abilities.

** Also be sure to camp completely out, quit the collector, and start a new session between each character you wish to save.

Name the logs accordingly and upload them to me as "Characters" category.

For those who do this, I am willing to (re)create your character on our server "New Telon" as best we can during alpha/beta testing phases.

umm where IS the data collection forum that will take me to the VG packet collector? that was part of the reason I was posting. I don't know how to access it, and was told I needed to be added to a group or something.

It is hidden until you request to join it or are added by one of the data leaders. That is what this link was in my original reply.
