Hey everyone!

Last I was on here was about 3 years ago. Man, you guys have come a REALLY long way! I was able to get all the way through IOD crafting quests (as well as adventure) when there was absolutely no crafting at all last time I was on. I am getting very excited about this game coming back to life!

Speaking of crafting, this game has the most robust crafting and harvesting system I have ever known in a game. It is by far my all-time favorite. I have always wanted to incorporate it into a game of my own. I am about to begin work on said game and was wondering if you devs had access to the actual source code or just the scripts? I would really appreciate it if I could get a hold of either or both.

Anyway, it's good to be back!

You don't want to use any code from VG. We're having to re-create everything from scratch as there is nothing available from Live other than our packet collection. Even then, due to the picky nature of the client, the code we have to make is far from ideal. You're far better off using the idea but coding it from scratch to match your game.

That would be the plan, anyway. I am using Unity so the code would have to get turned into C#, but I was hoping to see some of the formulas/equations used as a starting point.

The code we have is pure crap. Based on what the devs have said, it seems like 3 completely different people were working on it and not a one of them coordinated. So it's a weird spaghetti mishmash that somehow works, probably through black magic or some shit. Yeah you're better off doing your own thing.
