Details:
When I completed the quest Trial of Courage, I received the reward but the quest window stayed open. Halgar the Hero then despawned and could not get the last quest in the chain which would be Trial of Life.

I don't know if this player experienced some kind of lag or something, but this was working fine for me.

But just in case, I put in a check that if you need to turn in "The Trial of Courage" or you need to get "The Trial of Life" that Halgar will respawn for you if you leave and re-enter the cave he's in.
