Even though I have only been playing Vanguard for two weeks I am not in any way new to the MMORPG rodeo.
I feel very strongly that Vanguard needs to be preserved, strangely enough others do too. What amazes me is that there are so many people I have met in game over the past two weeks that have no clue that there is an emulation team nor there are a few of us collecting data to populate said reborn world.
People are willing to help, even people who are not currently playing, if they are informed. It is up to us, those in the know of this project to be the evangelists and help get the word out in game, prior guilds that played the game (forums, PMs, smoke signals), friends that you can introduce it to, or whatever path that you might feel will gain some traction.
We have 2.5 months left, don't let what I feel to be one of the easiest way to help this project along (spreading the word, adding more people who can data collect or code - horizontally expanding by having more data collectors) be hindered by your not letting people know about it.
Anyone have any information for old guilds that might still be active in other games that we might tap in order to get more hands involved with this project?
Any other suggestions on routes in order to inform players that had played in the past that this game could use their help?
