I've decided to take a break from the chunks and work on the mount quests. This will give players something to work towards as well. These are long quests, so don't expect me to have them finished for a while.

I'm putting this in Kojan Adventuring because it begins and ends here.

For anyone that wishes to attempt this, I suggest you make yourself level 50. Right now none of the mobs have their familiar attacks. For example, shadowhounds used to be immune to physical (And it would heal them). But now they just kinda auto attack you.

Quest 1: Shadowhound Council - Complete
Quest 2: Beasts of Ghalnn's Realm - Complete
Quest 3: Drawing Their Attention - Complete
Quest 4: Ghalnn's Awareness - Complete
Quest 5: Locate Camp Dhanrak - Complete
Quest 6: Many Components - Complete
Quest 7: The Essence of Kaon - Complete
Quest 8: Gullwing Portals - Complete
Quest 9: The Wolf Within - I think it's done, but I had to stop before I could test it for sure.
Quest 10: Vial Discrepancies - Complete
Quest 11: Rituals of the Ashendreg - Complete
Quest 12: Creature Comfort - Complete
Quest 13: Hounds of the Invasion - Complete
Quest 14: Qalian Components - Complete
Quest 15: A Riddle of Cats and Reptiles - Complete
Quest 16: Skrilien Practices - Complete
Quest 17: Vulmane Guidance - Complete
Quest 18: Precision Hoarding - Complete
Quest 19: Provoking Shadowhounds - Complete
Quest 20: Ghalnn's Forgotten - Complete
Quest 21: Ashen Shadowhounds - Complete
Quest 22: Worgs of Trengal - Complete
Quest 23: Mountain Shadows - Complete
Quest 24: Ghalnn's Foes - Complete
Quest 25: Enemies to the South - Complete
Quest 26: Enemies of Ghalnn - Complete
Quest 27: Nexus of Summoning - Complete
Quest 28: Ceremony of Summoning - Complete - Had to bring in Oncalupe to help since this was really complicated. But it is done now! Note: We couldn't find a shadowhound pet in the database, so the collar reward of the Mastered True Hound of Ghalnn does not spawn a shadowhound pet at this time. I will remove this comment when we've added it and have it working.
Quest 29: One Final Component - Complete
Quest 30: Riding a Shadowhound - Complete! You can now get your Shadowhound!

All the quests are up. I tested each one individually as I set them up. I am not in the process of testing them as if any player would (Just without a group). So it's still in the testing phase, but hopefully it's working. I will post when I'm done testing.

I just did this quest from start to finish and it is working. It's actually fairly easy since the mobs only have autoattack (Those shadowhounds, amirite?).

Anyway, please note that only the very basics are working. If it's a kill quest, then you kill. If it's a get-item quest, then you get the item. If it's a kill-to-loot-item quest, then you do that. Most of the mobs have only been scripted to do what they need to for the quest and nothing more. Some of them do have random movement scripts on them. Some of them have a set path but I did not set those up. They only have auto attack. They don't have funny resistances like shadowhounds being resistant to physical spells.

Also keep in mind that none of the areas were cleaned up for the quest, so there are a lot of mobs in some places. Trengal Keep is particularly bad, so be very careful there. We will not be cleaning up these areas until we get to those chunks in general.

I did not test this in a group, so I don't know how it will handle with a group. As far as I understand, grouping is also very, very basic. So if you're grouping this, it might take twice as long as the drops might not be shared between all members of the group. (Like one quest-item might drop that both people can see but only one can take).

Other than that, it's done. Go get a shadowhound!

I am now going over the Shadowhound quest - updating it where it needs to be updated. I'm mostly going through this to change the drop quests to the new group friendlier version of the scripts that we have. But I'll be checking all the quests in between and reporting my progress here.

An important thing here is that we now have access to more data regarding quest text. I remember when I went through this the first time, I had to put in a lot of my own, custom text. Now I can go back and put in the original.

Skipping ahead a little bit, we had to redo some of the NPCs involved in the final quest. A player told us that the skulls could be attacked (It was actually the lights). I tested this on my rogue which doesn't have any AOEs currently, but I asked Kayema to hop on his ranger. And then we saw what was going on. AOEs and NPCs are kind of weird right now, but we set it so they can't be attacked. In doing so, we actually found out there were some invisible portals there. So I set those up to spawn during the final event and despawn.

And lastly, I set up the collar to spawn the pet shadowhound that you get until you get the fully rideable shadowhound.

Now back to work on the other quests.
