When I'm done with VoH, which I hope will be later this week, I intend to start work on Veskal's Exchange. This chunk will be more difficult than the other chunks because of the changes SOE made to it later in VG's life. I'll need to find information about the levels that the mobs used to be. I think right now I can safely lower all the mob levels by 12 and it will match what I remember.

The other problem is changing all the harvesting nodes back to T2-T3. Right now they're T3-T4. I'm not exactly sure how to go about this right now.

Anyway, I claim this chunk in the name of Vulmane.

They did add "The Paranoid Psionicist" and a few others prior to the revamp. Done this way, it would start at level 10 which I guess gives continuity to characters from Leth Nurae.

Alright, who's ready for some action in Veskal's Exchange? Let's do this.

I will be working on resetting mob and quest levels as I go along. Dear god this won't be finished for a long time, so please don't bug report mob level discrepancies while this is ongoing.

Also, for the record, I cannot change gear stats, levels, required levels, etc. So the gear will be meant for a level 25+, but the quests and mobs will be teens level and up.


Today's Work:

Caravan Remains: Complete. Quest mobs set to Daytime cycle, and set to levels 11-14ish. Rewards have not been touched or redone for teens level.
In the Night: Complete. Quest mobs set to Nighttime Cycle, and set to levels 11-14ish. Rewards have not been touched or redone for teens level.
Talk to Veskal: Complete. Also moved Veskal back into his building (Which the quest still pointed to!)
Incoming Supplies: Complete.
Stolen Property: Complete. Related mobs should be set to levels 11-14ish. Note: I saw these chests for "Stolen Elven Goods", I'm not sure if SOE changed something and wanted the items from this quest to go into those. But the quest text still said to kill dudes. So you kill dudes to get the drops. I'll figure out what these chests are for eventually. But this is confusing.
Final Assault Complete. Related mob should be set to level 14.

Thanks SC, that'll help a lot!

With all of today's work, the quests and the quest related mobs (Not the questgiver NPCs though) should be the appropriate pre-teens/teens level for the area.

Today's work:
Striking the Viper: Complete.
Assemble a Disguise: Complete.
Silk Collecting - Complete.
Enchanting - Complete
Exploiting Allies - Complete
Needle of Power - Complete. NOTE: The paudrons cannot be scripted to give faction upon equip, nor will they be destroyed if you kill a dude wearing them. They will not change aggro mobs to nonaggro at this time. If you bug report this, I will give you a sadface. ->

Right now I'm trying to decide if I should revert everything to Preteens/teens level, keep everything the same but revert the levels, or a mix.

I don't like that they added Veskal's daughter in BUT, I do like that she's out in the field so you don't have to keep running up into Veskal's house. So, I might keep her.

I'm quite disappointed that they got rid of the best quest pun name ever in "Looming Assault".

Been kinda burned out from updating so many scripts that I decided to take a little break from that for now. I've started poking at Veskal's Exchange again.

Today's work:
Updated some of the mob loot drop quests.
Edited all the Verdant Lurkers to be Aggro, Social aggro, and lowered their levels by 12. Most are levels 12-14 now.

The more I find, the more confused I get about what SOE did with this chunk. It makes me want to just dump everything we have and start from scratch based on old wikis and what I remember.

Anyway, I have found some chests that apparently have the "Stolen property" from the quest of the same name. The problem? the quest still tells you to kill the verdant lurkers until you find the stolen property. So why the chests? I've set it so the chests don't spawn for now.

We're also missing a lot of the quest turn-in and completion text. This means I have to make it up. Which also leads me to believe I should set it up the old way (Since that's the version of the questline that I recall).

Why not Jakkal? I say just go with what you know so it's less frustrating to you. I don't mind if it's not like SOE had it, and I'm sure others won't either!
