Just saying hello -
so hello

Seriously though I played VG from open beta up till the patched out EE, then back on and off again for a while. even tried the f2p version a bit. I have a certain disdain for the "starter island"; however played though it a few times to give it a chance.
I played a Vulman Rakurr Shaman by the same name. My favorite area was/is Hillsburry ( Im there right now on New Telon ) had the vampire curse ( which later after they Nerfed it - I used to mess with people ) had the ring etc ect.
Speaking of Hillsburry, I recall 2 gargoyle guards at the main gate entrance, they are missing.

Anyway Im am waaaaay excited to see how far the emu has already gotten - already being relative Im sure, load of time and hard work where put in you can tell.

I would love to help further the development however last coding I did was GW basic on a 486 well unless you count Oblivion scripts, but that was way newbish stuff because I wanted a "Thane" character molded after the DAOC version.

I am hoping for a "classic" type server before the riftways, and definitely before the island. I can live with out Slappy's whistle That said I'll play what is available because Vanguard is my favorite mmorpg to date. I was wondering, Inquisitor - any plans on revisiting this class? I was set to make one and - well we all knew how that went. Is it even possible?
Are you going to dev the missing areas? I looked for patch notes to see if Hillsbury was ever finished, or Pankor ect ect but came up short. If not, are you going to flesh them out?

anyway I'll do what I can and bug anythign I find as I run around like a kid in a candy store.

Vanguard:SOH has ( HAS - not Had WOOHOO ) so much potential.

well sort of an edit / retraction: all content - no rifts / island.
Oh I also had a few alts - DK Pali ranger ect ect

oh and the hunters league ect ect stuff... so much to fix but I cant wait. sorry Im just super stoked.

Welcome to the project, wolvington. For our immediate effort, it will be to restore Telon to it's former glory at Sunset. What that ambiguously says is, we're not going to spend a lot of time tweaking content beyond what was "collected" during the final months of Vanguard. But, that is our *immediate* effort.

Once the server has nearly all functionality and is nearing a playable state, it is my hope that the Content Designers can "fix" some of the mistakes from the past; I just won't ask them to do that until we have a recognizable world again.


PS: Look for an item effect that insta-kills anyone who blows Slappy's whistle. I believe that was the general consensus.

Silently but instantly teleport them to a dark pit filled with thousands of Slappys and lock their character there, deny log outs, telelports, recalls, /stuck etc and make them listen to their own crappy music while dancing to it for eternity, any force close of the client will result in a full character wipe and flag them to never level past 1 while banning them from all chat and player interaction except Slappy's whistle!

A bit extreme? I don't think so...lol
