Details:
Crashed to character select while running through New Targonor. I was just running down the road, past the Hall of the Fathers, and into the part of the city that first has houses. When I first came back in I was at loc -32378, 12849, 36193. I had been in a few other chunks and running around for a while before the crash. After the crash, I was unable to log in to any of my New Telon characters for a few minutes (until after shut down the client and relogged from the desktop).

Does this happen every time when you enter this area? Could your internet connection be a culprit? What happened when you attempted to log in with a different char?

When I tried to log in with other characters, I just hung at character select ("logging in (xxxxx)"), until a few minutes had elapsed.

The same thing just happened to me while running in Three Rivers chunk (I had just turned onto Khazbatak bridge). I had just received a "Hello Shargash" from John when I dropped to character select. Then, I could not log in with any character for a few minutes.

After today, I should be able to spend some time doing crash testing. I'll run a ping monitor while I run around at different speeds in different places to see what I come up with.

Coming from shargash, that says a lot -- since he was the expert at CTDs up until now Thanks for the report.
