At some point soon, we'll be ready to delve into the combat calculations.

First, did VGO have any creatures that could be used as a baseline for attack damage? Some MMOs have things like Rabbit, Mouse, and other mobs which are 1-shot mobs just added to feed masochists. These mobs are great for figuring out baseline stat contributions as they generally have 0 mitigation (of all damage types). Did VGO have this, and if so what are they called? Any 0 mitigation mob will do.

Also, if anyone did any combat without a weapon (except classes that receive bonuses to barehanded) that will help as well.

Tanvu had rats you could kill. Think the chickens could be killed as well.

There are chickens in Renton Keep that I killed all the time, also a rare chicken, Razorbeak, but he had higher stats and dropped gear.

Would the parsing statue in Kojan count as what you are looking for?

If so, I used that statue in Kojan (1 chunk east of Tanvu) in my ability collects for Disciple Endowments and for my drunken and dragon monks. It has near infinite hitpoints so it may not have any mitigation. No unarmed combat though

Also, the exile guild website has some good discussion on stat caps and how certain things like mitigation worked. I was told I could cut and paste it here before the sunset, so I'll grab it and post it when I have some time this afternoon.

Someone might have some early log files of the Belzane fight. Periodically he went immune to certain types of damage (well actually it would heal him) and people would have to switch to hand to hand combat to damage him at all.

if anyone can still get in touch with the Exile group those guys/gals were great at keeping track of all the stats for just about everything with the strats for dropping the mobs. that info i think would be a great well to drink content rebuild from.

I'm not sure if Dinjoc is active on the forums. He is listed as a Content Designer, but I believe he had all that crap pretty much memorized.

Exile are some really good folks who knew a ton about the game. I was a member at the end and still have access to tbeir forums. Dinjoc would be a real wealth of knowledge though.
