Waiting on Data from World Server

I just tested it again using Jimbos 2 suggestions but same result, waiting on data.

I tried creating a new account and new character but it wouldn't let me click Next when selecting your server to finish the character creation.

yeah, I dident see a request for the second character creation. My server did have 3 TCP disconnects from login.vgoemulator.net, then reconnected, could be after the first disconnect / reconnect that the server is for all intents and purposes no longer accepting traffic.

Aside from this, I am still not seeing ANY server scrawl. just character creation sorta like what jimbo was having trouble with a few pages ago. otherwise nothing going on server side. so again, sounds like a communication issue of some sort. And that its not letting outside clients connect properly, its no longer a simple my router not letting me connect to its external address.

Jimbo I know you just sorta changed your ports and then changed them back, and its was working. Was that it? I can try doing that to see, maybe restarting the router in between

Ok, on pure silliness I just dropped ALL my forwarding, and Did a physical reset of the router, re-enabled it now, Server is Green, Dakadin can you test now please

That did it! I created a character and just logged in.

Finnaly, looks like having done that I may have infact fixed my own connection issues as well. So for anyone else, we can add the simple act of a physical router reset into the mix as being a possible fix

As to why it took me the better part of a week and change to bother.....its the small details that get me lol

Fellas - the other thing to watch out for is when your ISP decides to issue you with a new IP - depends on whether you have a permanent IP address or not. This got me the other day.

Also - when you have multiple chars in different servers - if you want to switch between toons / servers - just click on the one you want 'Real Fast' when the toon menu appears

Good call jimbo, in my case we have an agreement with our provider to maintain a permanent IP for business reasons. But I could totally see that as being a thing that could throw settings out of whack.

Hey all, long time no log!

just finished moving the family overseas, and finnaly have my internet set up
of course I couldnt wait to get VG Server back up and testing, but looks like my old issue
is back, client freezing at character select when my server is live, forcing an alt tab
and force close to work. ive got everything set up for ports, and re-edited my world file to
match my new info. can connect to new telon no issue, just not mine. Anyone feel like troubleshooting
this with me?
slso i have dropped the database, recreated, reimported, no difference
open to suggestions
