Lore
Is anything being done to preserve Vanguard lore? Like the lore regarding the cataclysm and the undead invasion? You can find some here and there on various websites, but it's scattered and spotty at best.
I know a lot of lore can be discovered in the diplomacy sphere, but while leveling my last diplomat, the conversations didn't seem to be as varied, and a lot of parleys opened with <text goes here> as the dialogue, and then the conversation was over. While I appreciated how quick the experience came because of this bug, I'm afraid a lot of conversations might have been lost.
The conversations were definitely much more varied on my first diplomat, who hit level 50 diplomacy in early 2008. The conversations also seemed to include more lore back then. I noticed changes in the conversations specifically whenever they revamped an old area or added new content, and it seemed like anything related to the new content was weighted, so that it 'randomly' appeared more often during parleys.
I realize resurrecting lore not even be possible due to the lack of resources, but the lore was one of the features that really added depth to Vanguard. I'd love to see as much preserved as possible. Even before launch, the lore 'teasers' that were released throughout beta were like a drug to me.
Some of the lore I'd love to see (again) because I can't remember the details: The Dwarves cut into the cliffs below Dahknarg, the Dwarves being overrun and escaping on Elven boats, Vulmane joining with the Orc and Goblins during the Orc invasions, the Vulmane fleeing the forests and Halflings fleeing the Beranid foothills when the undead invasion began. Just bits and pieces I can partially remember...

Re: Lore
We have done a great job in collecting the diplo sphere. One reason i tried to push the priority of this task was the game lore. I remember the orc and vulmane diplo lore it is the orc racial diplo chain. The only broken diplo conversation dialogues i found are some bartenders parleys
Not sure if the data collection boards ever go public but if they do you should be able to tell roughly what got collected and what not

I really like the lore efforts (and others) of the Angry Wiki. Do anyone know if we can expect it to stay online?

This statement is very promising and it explains a lot.
My first character started at launch and I leveled diplomacy and carpentry alongside adventuring. I tried to keep every sphere within a level of the others just so I wouldn't have to backtrack. Every new area got scoured for crafting and diplomacy quests (both of which were rare), so I'd end up doing lots of civic parleys and work orders in the area before moving on. I'd even read the dialogues until I'd seen all the area had to offer. I'd jump to the next continent, kill what I had to order to fix my faction, then do the continental tier quests, and any other quests I could find. Experience moved so slow back then that I just couldn't pass up a quest, even ones I had already outleveled.
After the experience adjustments and the introduction of potions (including faction potions), I could have a level 50 exemplar in a couple weeks, without spending much time in any one area. And that is probably why I saw very little dialogue variation.

Got answer of Aradrin:
[quote]Hello Mithni,
Yes, I heard already that they were using it and I have no intention of moving it for that very reason
Thanks for letting me know though, better safe than sorry.

So the angry wiki will stay!

Re: Lore
I have fully archived Silky Venom, Telon Project, Telon Adventures, and Xanadu.
I can't seem to get a full archive on the official Vanguard Forums, Angry Wiki, Telonica, or MMODB Vanguard. Too many pages/links so the thing shuts off. I have quite a bit from each site just not the full archive. The Vanguard forums is supposedly shutting down this week.

I also have:
Vanguard Official Forums
Silky Venom
The Telon Project
Xanadu
Angry Wiki
The Safe House (Rogue Forums)
The Steel Warrior (Warrior Forums)
Monkly Business (Monk Forums)
ZAM VG Wiki (as much as there was available)
Telonica Wiki (with errors though, need to redo)
VG MMODB
VG Walkthrough
VG Gamepressure (what little there was)
Slyderule.net (Bunch of info and old VG links)
So if we lose any of the sites I have listed, I have full backups as I know a few others have too.
