Cool, thank you. When it is not sitting on a failing RAID, things do run smoother

I hate to ask, but how is it you are having and hosting all these systems? And what is your internet bill Like?

I am lucky to have a fiber drop at home, which gives me 50m up and down, but I got tired of having to support all the server hardware and moved it to AWS. Much less headache to be sure.

I run a VMware ESX cluster with 3 nodes, HA and DRS and a cheap Synology iSCSI NAS for storage, a monster UPS that has saved us more than once, and business-class internet service from my local ISP. It's $100/mo, and the speed varies so I don't bother fretting over it. Works for me.

I don't farm it out because I run dozens of services for many entities, not just VG/EQ2 projects. The cost of hosting everything I have elsewhere would shock you. $1,000's / mo. Aside from an occasional power blip (or VM crash), I've been up 99.9% for 7 years.

I pretty much mirror your scenario. However, I'm using Hyper-V with two nodes (not clustered atm) and a dedicated server for Active Directory and other services. The cost to run what I need via MS Azure would be 1,000s / month.

Not sure if you are familiar with AWS pricing, but nowhere close to 1000's/month.

vCPU ECU Memory (GiB) Instance Storage (GB) Windows Usage
m3.xlarge 4 13 15 2 x 40 SSD $0.532 per Hour

I need 3 that are on 24/7 and 3 more that are on about 400 hours/month.
Easily in the 1,000s Am I reading the pricing wrong?
I could get away with a few smaller instances but that would be much less power than what I run now.
