Launcher failing

I am using a windows 10 machine. I downloaded the latest game client from your site and downloaded the latest launcher from your site. They are installed on the alternate harddrive in my computer. When I launch just the game itself, it has the same client version I have seen in other posts the user needs. I have went through the permissions and everyone has full access to where I saved the folders. When I start the launcher it gives me the following error.

cant seem to find a better place on forums yet. but i downloaded the launcher and as soon as i run it, it says validating and then immediately closes. any suggestions?

Are you using the launcher from our site? If you're using the one from Steam, it will not work.
