All of you who played long enough should know what the Founder title is!

Launch player here! Vanguard was the very first MMO I followed before launch and got on immediately in spring of 2007.

Currently I am collecting raw video of the game for a little personal project on YouTube (currently I have over 100 gigs of video!). Not sure if that will help you guys, but on the side of doing that, if there is anything I can do to help your emulator project when I have the free time I would love to.

Hi there, I actually feel video will be useful information later on in building content so that should be pretty cool thanks! As far as what else you can do, outside of programming right now we need people to collect data from the game (running a program while playing). Let us know if you're interesting in this and we'll add you to the collector's user group. Thanks!

In the game I go by GraniteTheWolf as my main. Draxy is an alt, and Velo is another alt. Any way to get in touch with other players that are on this forum? Nice to have someone to chat with during data collecting and when im also recording bits in the game

Just downloaded the VG packet collector and baretail to watch the packet recording. I'll be setting that up in a bit and should do some collecting this weekend

The packet collector says I am missing a wpcap.dll file.

As for me trying the launcher you guys created, I am unable to use it because the steam version does not have a vgclient.exe, or would re-nameing launchpad.exe to vgclient fix this issue?
I also am running from a steam F2P version of the game, I tried installing from my original discs but the client will no longer update to something I can play with. Seems sony disabled updating from the original discs now.

Hmm, don't the setup instructions say you need to install winpcap too? If not, I'll have to add it.

There has to be a VGClient.exe, or the game won't run hehe. Unless there is some weirdness with the Steam client I am unaware of? Find out the name of the EXE in memory when you are logged into Live Vanguard, and if it's not bin/VGClient.exe, I'll have to modify the VGClientLauncher.

I found the correct VGclient.exe located in the Bin folder. Just got done walking around the new world thats a work in progress

I found winpcap and everything else to get the packet collector working. Now I just have to find out the device id for my wireless card in my desktop here. Once I figure out which device It is I should be good to start collecting!

Got it figured out, I think.

I take it the collections are saved into the new file in the packet collector's folder? I have this NewFile_1398486038 4 Mb text document after a short test session.

Also I dont see any guild recruiters in the Vanguard Saviors Guild. My main character's name is Granite on VG.
