Failed Nishek's Summoning Quest

I summoned Nishek but failed to kill her. Whip is gone from inventory when I used it to summon her. Quest giver will not prompt me for another whip quest. Is this broken? Or should I just continue to kill mobs and hope another whip drops?

It's not broken. The problem is that in order to summon Nishek you have to burn the whip. So that destroys it. So if you don't kill her, you shouldn't be able to keep it. There is currently not a way to get it back without resetting the quests that lead you to getting the whip OR buying it off the global exchange (Be sure to get the one that Toridra set up for summoning).

For now I'm going to set the quest object not to remove the whip from inventory in case a player fails to kill Nishek. We'll have to figure out what to do about the whip issue later. I'm guessing this was handled by petition via SOE if failed or you rely on groupmates to continue.
