Details:
character ranger

if you use "crude short spear" with "Wardens ranged attack" for ranged attack its okay.
But once you switch to melee, although you do damage, you gain no experiance for any ability,
melee wapons equiped: "adventurers short sword" and Shortsword of the hero"
