Trying to install
Downloaded the launch pad and it won't install.
Having similar problems as viewtopic.php?f=28&t=4409
I have no vanguard/bin as nothing has installed. Everytime I try the launcher it does this ... not sure what to do.

The Launcher does not install anything. You still need a client: http://wiki.vgoemulator.net/Docs/Guides:VGClient

I did get that figured out! 
but now I can't create a character, I select next after picking starting city and it just stays in character creation with nothing to do but exit game

Are you using Launchpad v3.5.0.0? It was recently updated and should update if you had an older version, but some people had issues with it not updating.
