Humm maybe go in to your Nvidia Control Panel -> Manage 3D settings -> Program settings and add Vanguard (bin/vgclient.exe) and play with the settings in there mainly Anisotropic Filtering and Antialiasing but if chaging those don't work just play around with the other setting's and see if they make a difference.

It's not NV's ctpl, it doesn't even 'see' Vanguard, which was the case while SOE run it as well. Not the culprit.

Am wondering if the user that started this thread actually resolved this or failed to, but in typical internet fashion never bothered to come back and inform anyone.. :)
Am also wondering if this is a Pascal thing (be it one in the actual GPU architecture, or one introduced to the game's client due to the reverse engineering); do you have anyone with a Pascal GPU playing this?

Just because it doesn't see vanguard, doesn't mean it's not doing something. One of those options in there might be causing the issue, so if you manually add VG, you can tweak the settings without affecting other games.

Apologies for the delay;

Did my dues, can once again assure NV's ctpl isn't the issue. Each and every setting individually turned on/off (where applicable), with proper restarts in between just to be sure.
Not the problem.

(and in the off chance this is relevant.. this is not me being insistent or anything, these things can happen and it's all good; am only informing you)

* It could be of help to find another lab rat, anyone with a Pascal GPU should do.

Just verified with Bop in-game he is running a GTX 1080 and running 8 clients with no issues.
