Good lord, this makes me rage. In my neck of the woods we have two options (well 4 if you count limited dial up and DSL availability, LMAO). FiOS and Comcast (xfinity). Neither of these are great options, fios is technically better but in very select limited areas and comcast owns a ton of roadside infrastructure so verizon can't come near their territory and vice versa. Sigh....
