Wandering mobs:
All mobs in areas you visit for quests and nearby that should be moving. Levels should be what they were before Free To Play when Lomshir was made a 10+ area.

Quests should have proper level returned from their post Free To Play change to a 10+ area. Gear rewards are currently still post Free To Play items.

Been slowly working on Lomshir and updating the main post as I went.

Today I went over and updated the levels of the quests and nearby mobs. When VG changed the starter areas around, Lomshir was made a 10+ area. Most data in the DBE was from that post change. Using some wiki data and guessing on others, I've hopefully got it back to the pre-change setup. Gear rewards are still the post-change items.

Should have most adventuring quests for levels 1 - 10 ready and working beside the few issues marked above, but they're good enough to complete.

I ran through the Lomshir quests listed in this thread over the past day.

Re QUEST: Pay The Lieutenant
FROM NPC: Loann Zepeta
LOC: Lomshir city
NOTES: Not sure if this is working as intended but when I take the payment to Arnath Isperia a green quest status shield appears above his head but when I try to hand in the quest by r-click on him, he attacks instead of offering a quest dialogue. The quest appears ready to hand in and he respawns with green quest status shield above head. I still have Rin's Payment in inventory as well. When /hailed the NPC popped a quest dialogue box and the quest updated/completed when he died.

RE QUEST: Horse Escort
FROM NPC: Yvler Kruug
LOC: Lomshir, at -33752, 3804, 9455
NOTES: Yvler Kruug gives me this quest at the same time as the precursor quest, 'Find the Lost Horse' and the dialogue seems to support that this is the next quest in a chain.

RE QUEST: Collect Apples for the Horses
FROM NPC: Yvler Kruug
LOC: Lomshir, at -33752, 3804, 9455
NOTES: Approximately every third tree that I clicked would only spawn creatures instead of the spawn creature then apple as loot and then tree respawns on timer. I was able to run to the other trees and loot apples from them without a creature spawning first when I found another tree that was only spawning creatures. Again, not sure if working as intended.

Just FYI, some prerequisites have not been put in game for the sake of easier testing.

Nothing I've done here is visible.

Suffice it to say, there's an attempt to pick up the pieces and make something of it. Yes, a decent amount is already set up; I have not tested or looked at it much. But, I'm trying to retrieve the smithereens, as in "SOE blew it to smithereens when changing it uselessly". So I will post an update when it becomes visible to you.

I was able to restore a few quests and their content:

An Eye for an Eye; this is intended to be concurrent with Stolen Goods; the mobs in the area involved are still too high level compared to the quest.

Soup for Salor and Spices for Soup. These mobs also will need adjustment to match the quest.

There are not going to be that many more quests here, related to starting characters. Since half of the chunk is used for other things, we will probably tie it off at level 8 and start the next place accordingly.

Adjusted mobs around the Villa so you can do As You Wish and the Soup quests.

Adjusted and set up mobs at the destination for Stolen Goods and An Eye for an Eye. In my estimation, this one is a pretty good design, because it's possible to solo slowly and carefully, but if you duo with someone, it won't be trivial because there are clumps of things that are just too powerful for one person. This is across the line in Lomshir Plain, and I'll just post those updates here, because, well, it has the same name, unlike the Tanvu Hills or Dahknarg Woods, and so it's just the same thing. Lomshir Plain is just the rest of Lomshir. Lomshir extends in to Lomshir Plain. If someone were to ask me where Lomshir ends and Lomshir Plain begins, it doesn't, because Lomshir is in a plain.

Only two quests left to go here, of a slightly more complex nature.

Meanwhile, over at Dark Horse Track, which is in or is the same thing as Dark Horse Downs, which is in Lomshir Plain, which is the same as Lomshir, I've started.

If anyone was over here ever since this server opened its door, you saw so many horse racers that it probably turned your computer into a steam valve operated logic board. Not so any more. There is only one of each, they're not racing, but at least your video performance isn't crawling.

Set up quests on Harlin Yarloun, the Stable Master who receives your lead in quest. He just has Hay Is for Horses---which was too easy, so I made it too hard. Basically, every time you go to clean some hay, Syranoth and Fengrot will try to shove it down your throat. Well, not really, but you're going to have to work to get it done. Then you have Horse Berries. This is still too easy because there are great tamaracks of these plants scattered all over the place. Grab them now before their proliferation is reduced. Levels for these were reduced to be obtainable by pretty much anyone who emerges from the City of Lomshir.

Before setting up any more quests, I shall do basic hailing for everyone there in the Downs around the Track. Most likely, a lot of trainers and merchants won't actually have any dialogue, but, we'll see.

Be careful making quests harder, especially early ones. Remember; At this point, some people may have only been playing for a couple hours.

Edited Hay is for Horses back to the original 8. Needing to Click more stuff doesn't make it harder, just annoying. Try not to change objectives from live unless there's an issue with scripting (Such as cases where we don't have the resources to make it exactly like live) or if things seem wrong (Like only needing two haystacks, which is OBVIOUSLY too easy).
