Details:
90% of the time when I try to use a mount it does not appear. My movement speed goes up, and when I use it again I do a little dismount falling animation, but I don't see it and I can't fly.

I need more information on this like what mount are they using since i have zero issues mounting in tursh village.

I had no problem mounting as well, and he saw when I was mounted. I gave him a phoenix to use (same one I was) and I couldn't see him mount at all. It would look like he jumped a foot and that was it.
Haiku is easy -
But sometimes it makes no sense.

It's with any mounts, flying or ground. I have tried griffon, shimmer griffon, pegasus, unicorn, horse, land griffon, gersomething or other (big dragon), phoenix. Nothing works. Occasionally I will chunk and the mount will spawn under me. Chunk again and it goes away.

I can always just roll a new toon and see if it still happens. If not it could be chalked up to my punishment for murdering a dev...

Yea please try a new character and let me know if it works fine. Curious are you wearing the starting armor/items or did you summon/get different items.

Worked fine on the new character. Played around a bit and submitted a new bug report. Looks like its equipment based, but I can figure out the trigger.

Details:
update to bug 413: I found a workaround. If I unequip certain items it will allow me to fully summon a mount. I am wearing all rediculously overleveled and non-class gear, so that might be the problem. Further testing, if I remove certain items (all overleveled) it allows me to summon a mount.

If I equip them with the mount summoned I can dismiss and resummon. If I equip with the mount dismissed I cannot resummon.

Just equipped all items that are my level and class, still not working unless I remove either my chestplate, gloves, legs, feet, weapon, shield, or shoulder armor. nothing else makes a different now. Will try with low level armor and update. Feel free to jump on my toon if it will help!

I have had issues very similar to this. I thought it was related to crossing chunk lines but was unable to pin point exactly what was happening. Sometimes it would happen and then crossing again would sometimes fix it.
