Hello all! I'm not a very vocal person normally, though I usually will respond when talked to. Out of game, I'm a technically-inclined person with experience in computer hardware, programming, and recently some 3d modelling.
Vanguard was the only fantasy MMO that I played with any seriousness. I've messed around with pretty much every other major and a some minor MMOs, but only VG kept my interest. I also played EVE Online for a few years, but as someone that doesn't like PvP it ended up getting too repetitive after a while.
I first picked up VG a few years ago. I don't remember exactly when, only that it was after launch and before IoD. It was one of my first MMOs, so at the time it didn't quite suck me in (RL was partly to blame) and stopped after a week or so. A year or so later I picked it back up when another friend tried out the trial. This time I didn't leave.
At that point VG was down to 4 servers, the PvP, EU, and two US. I was on Xeth for a few months before the merge. Another few months later and I joined up with Jakkal (whom I knew from out of game) in Safe Haven with my ranger main Kayema. Eventually becoming an officer in Unleashed and co-raid lead near the end.
