for the lvl 15 Task for Three Rivers: Goliath Spiders quest - there are goliath spiders in that area that are alittle further up that don't count for this quest. it looks like there is a zone line that cuts the area where the spiders on one side of the zone line count but the spiders on the other side don't count but they are right next to each other
