Can't Turn in Information

I ground my way to diplo 40 at Martok (working on Exemplar) and have a bunch of information of all types. Went to Vex to turn them in and the NPC's just gave me the standard I need 7 hearsay, 5 rumor etc. I have more than enough of each type. They are of unequalled quality. I also tried the plots informant at Tar Janishar with the same result. Am I missing something? Or has the latest patch done something to diplomacy?

The information that you have, or rather that you are having difficulty turning in, is it Unequalled (t5) information? If so, you will need to speak with the head informants to turn in those documents. The head informants can be found in Tanvu, New Targonor and Ahgram and the turn in process for unequalled information is a quest based turn in that allows you to select your reward. The difference in going to any of the three head informants is the continental appearance of the gear.

Yes, the information is unequalled. I have been parleying with 41+ working on exemplar. And thanks for the information! This is the first time I have gotten a toon up to 40 in diplo. :) Having recently come back after a long long afk, I have found a new interest in diplo and crafting that I didnt have before. So I am leveling my new toons in all three spheres at the same time which means I am running into territory I have never been before! Way cool.. :)

That is brilliant to read! I am happy to see that you are finding so much enjoyment with these two spheres, and welcome back! If you find yourself in need of assistance, please feel free to give a shout at any time, I will be happy to help however I can. I am always in /tavern, /craft, /dip, /help and /diplomacy - so if you ask for Aasha I will see it no matter which of my 13 I am playing.

    All the best!

Welcome back Op. Just to add, while I am not sure, I thought there was a diplo level requirement to get those "quests" to turn in the t5 papers. It may be 40, it may be 45, I may be wrong :) Go to the Head Informant, but dont be surprised if you cant see the quests at level 40.

If my memory does not fail me, you are correct, Rufin.

Opena; I checked my gear on my main diplomat, Thalatth, but none of the gear indicates a required level other than 45, so I cannot give you more information presently as to the required levels of the each of the quests, but I will try to get there with another character a.s.a.p. and see if I can provide the information for you.

Thanks for the welcome back Rufin! It is pretty amazing that even though I have been around off and on since beta, and the old Ope was 55 I am still finding new things to do with the "new" Ope, and my other "new" toons. Like I told Aasha earlier, I found a new interest in Diplo and crafting and am leveling up my new toons equally in all three spheres.

And I think that both of you are correct, I cannot see very many quests from the head informants yet. Mainly just ones for Hearsay (title and card) which I already have done, and two for Evidence, one of which gives out great gear. So I will continue to work on his diplo. Just got my Speaker of all Kojan last night as well. :)

In your opinions, as I collect information from the parleys, is it worth it to turn them in for the platinum coins? Or should I save the information for the upcoming Head Informant quests?

I have personally very done the exchange as I feel that the exchange value for the coins is too high. I would recommend getting your gear sorted first and foremost and then after that determine what you still might need.

Thanks Aasha, I think that makes the most sense as well. After I get my gear I can always go back and get more information later if I really want to.
