You favorite moment in EQ

Since we got alot of EQ players around here I thought I would see what was your single favorite moment in many of our favorite MMO.
For me personally it had to be the time I was a part of the ring war raid in velious. I don't think there had ever been such an intricate battle in MMORPGS up to that point. Had a raid of players + a raid of dwarf npcs fighting off a massive army of giants. Of course the numbers were fairly small for actual army sizes. I was amazed at the entire thing when I was about 14 or 15.
Also loved the entire velious expansion in general.

My favorite moments was actually Frontier Mountains... I was in Loio and a group member said "lets go the giant fort and kill giants!" I was like woah! really? there are giants? and a fort? Ill never forget running up to the fort and seeing all these people sitting around on the grassy hills as people pulled giants.. it was awesome... Plus I got a Forest Loop earring off of one.. +3 to Wisdom.... that was BA for a druid back in those days... ahhhh those were the days...

The first time we killed AoW after what seemed like a 100 fails...

When my Mage finally received his Orb of Mastery.

Getting the Whistling Fists from Cazic Thule in the Plane of Fear. As a Quellious worshipping Human. Then kicking his butt with them......

Death by drowning shortly after exiting the Wizard Guild hall because my High Elf wizzy didnt know how to swim.

I then made a Wood Elf ranger and died instead by falling out of that massive tree house.

First time I got graphics working on a new build of EQMac .

When i lost "the Book" at lvl 35 and when i Dinged lvl 60 ( max at the time ) in Seb at necro camp. lvl 59 was murder .....

When Kunark released, for the like the first week Iksar were not KOS.

The first night Iksar were available to play, I made an Iksar Shaman (Roanoke Discovered) and ran him all the way over to the Freeport area because that was what I knew and where my friends were. I was standing on the hillside in East Commons getting ready to pull a mob when this player ran right up to me and just stopped. I knew that the player was checking out the new lizardman model, but she stood there starring so long I finally emoted /Roanoke drools.

The player cracked up and so did I.


My second favorite was the first time I logged onto EQ. I made a Barbarian Warrior and ran him out to the newbie area. Being a female new to gaming and not twitchy at all, I remember standing as high up on the hillside as possible watching in genuine horror as all the newbies were getting mauled and killed by polar bears. I remember telling my husband there was no way I could play "this" game. I was so upset that I had wasted $50! Boy was I wrong... <3 Everquest

Oh man, favorite is tough.
Ok, going to Befallen an a young Troll SK, and soloing through, getting all the keys, and getting some of my first sweet loot is high on the list.
Tanking a 58 spawn chain of black reavers in CoM was a high point as well...darn things just kept popping.

Being part of the first ever Plane of Fear break in.. and the 3+ hour CR which followed.
Killing Vox for my first time (guild second) and getting the original Scimitar of the Mistwalker (before it was removed from the game)
Being second on Sol Ro to complete the original druid epic (before it got nerfed to simple), and along with this; having to kite the dragon around the ocean and my guild laughing at me for yelling "LEHP! DWAGON!" (was typing so fast while running my ar$e off couldnt type straight).
Many many Nights in NToV killing dragons.
ahh.. so many more I could list...

Never played EQ.
But I can tell you my favorite moment in EQ2 -- Uninstalling it.

When I got Zlandicars heart as a necromancer was so proud this blue shiny thing

The first 3D dragon I ever saw was Trak anon, was so sweet back then.

My most ahhhaaaa moment is when my level 9 ranger found black burrow, worked my way into the actual zone and saw a gnoll pup sitting by a tree. I figured easy kill and ran up to it and followed it into the tree. Next second I was falling into the trap and wound up deep within the burrow and no idea how to get out.

In the early days, a friend and I decided to make a troll (me) and an ogre and run to Freeport. Once there we were going to duel. I've always been pretty good at finding my way safely thru zones and made it with no problem. I think he died once on the way. Once he got to Freeport, I decided I'm going to 'moon' the guards there. (You know how the trolls bottoms were always hanging out.) So, I got him as close as I dared, bent over (using /bow) and typed an emote that he was mooning the guards. I don't remember if I got the enter key pressed or not, because the guards didn't like it and killed me instantly! I didn't know I had gotten that close.
We then proceeded to duel after I ran all the way back and he thought I was cheating with buffs because everytime he hit me I'd heal up while he didn't (Good ol' Regen). He died and I had most of my health left.
Lots of good fun memories from EQ.

I found it funny that my vah shir beastlord had the highest in swimming than anyone else. I had 185 swimming by 60. Just funny that a cat would be nearly max.

I spent alot of time in Ocean of tears and timorous deep lol.
