Hey guys (and or gals) I'm lookin to talk to a couple of High End experienced tanks, about augments and the such. I'm just getting into my T2-3 gear and epic weapons and it's almost time to find those augs and start saving them... Which ones are optimal?? +25 HP?.. + MIT?... Dmg or crit?... The list goes on.. If you do feel like responding please have In your list the enhancement slot type and the name of the aug and why you think it's best. Ie. Rune : (name) - Because Etherence : (name) - because Thanks for any and all input! Please feel free to message me online to converse this , on Coadex.
Open up your character sheet/stats tab and look at it, parse a few tanking sessions and look at them. Part of the fun is figuring out which augs to pick, how to optimize this and that.
I create a spreadsheet. Add in the gear that I have and the gear that I am liable to get in the near future. I then see where I am compared to the caps for the different areas. Then use enhancements to get me there. Sometimes what seems like a shiny new piece of gear might be wasted as you are already capped on that particular stat. As a tank you can't go wrong with hit points. If you are a warrior you may need some mana regen but you need to figure that out when raid buffed and playing. At the T3 epic weapon end you should be maxxed or close to max on the melee mitigation side of things. Check where you are on spell mit. Also see if you need to do a reset of your base attributes to make sure you have for instance con maxxed out. A good way to check your melee mitigation is to go and target a mob like Shendu and check what your mitigation is in your character sheet. Spell mitigation is not as straightforward as it takes into account the resists you have as well.
Cool, I'm a pally, I mean I've been playing a long time, and have a good understanding of what I want, but thns change so I was wondering if any "ubers" had any tricks up there sleeves. In my head I want +3con, +25hp, +MIT, +Spell MIT ...but am not all to familiar ith augs and how to find the right ones .. Aside from farming sod..
vg change? el oh el just look through the broker to see what augs exist. the augs you will need as a tank don't really need explanation. you do need to pay attention to gear caps like krolk said. some others - rage/flurry 10% from gear, 20% with 3 chicken dmg rating 25% on gear stc/st 20% on gear accur 25%, dimishes with target lvl crit 25% on gear cdb uncapped
