2012 MacBook Air - will Vanguard run?

Discussion in 'General Tech Support Issues' started by ARCHIVED-JeffreyVZ, Aug 21, 2012.

  1. My specs:
    •
1.7GHz Intel Dual-Core Core i5, Turbo Boost up to 2.6GHz
    •
    8GB 1600MHz DDR3L SDRAM
    •
    64GB Flash Storage
  2. It will 'run', but I'm not sure how well the iGPU on that CPU will handle it. The iGPU on my i5 is not good enough for me to call it playable in VG. Ideally you want a good, dedicated graphics card.

Hello Ahumaura! Unfortuantely, Vanguard is not supported on the Mac. Sorry for the inconvenience. For more information, please read the knowledge base below:

    System Requirements for Vanguard
  4. Oh, I know it won't run on OSX (except maybe with wine?), but of course I can install Windows on my Mac :p

Unfortunately most users who run Vanguard on a Macintosh computer, regardless of the operating system, will encounter a world of different issues. My best suggestion would be to use a supported PC in order to access the game.
  6. Seems like a wierd reply, I play VG on a 2012 rMBP through bootcamp without any problems at all, if you're running windows then it's not any different to doing it on a Dell or whatever, at the end of the day a PC is a PC is a PC.
  7. People buy MACs?
