Fixed an issue where Signet of Channeled Chaos would get interrupted when used Imperial Officers Crossbow now uses crossbow skill General Temporarily disabled runspeed limits in Pantheon and around Tharridon due to issues with runspeed being set to zero. Stalking Flarehounds adds will no longer spawn in City of Brass Abilities Necromancers Well of Corruption and Well of Depravation are now activated instantly instead of 2 seconds. Vicious Banded Stalker will no longer have bugged aggro text Warrior Order's have been converted to Aura's in order to fix multiple bugs with how they worked. Ability tooltips have also been rewritten to correctly show the effects of abilities. Lich Form should now properly grant AC as the tooltop states.
Why the nerf to Pendant of the Tempest? I understand there was an issue with it crashing chunks, but can't the item be improved elsewhere to compensate?
Pendant of the tempest change, ehm, you removed the primary feature of this item to make it work with shamans i guess? but meanwhile there isn't a shaman in the game that would use the item now, especially without the minus heal mod. please add back this feature.
YAY! Looks like we'll get to wait another 2 weeks for a POSSIBLE fix because this obviously wasn't tested and the "fix" was a guess.
This was just me messing around solo, so no idea if the rate has lowered over all. 5 pulls w/ my ranger, 2 of them resulted in zero run speed, both of those were from knockback. I only tried engaging from stealth once, and it didn't zero speed me. Never tried FD
I spelled it out when the thread first hit the forums. The zero speed "bug" has to do with how the game "sees" your character during an event such as a knock back. When the game places you at the final arc destination, it tries to re-apply speed changes. You start the arc as a player, cease being a player during travel, and render back to a player object. Without seeing the code, the only thing I can assume, from end-user details, is that the calculations for run speed are occurring before a base value is registered. Thus the end result is multiplication by 0. There were two "issues" that I could tell, both related to RS changes. If stealth/fd/tree form etc... No longer present the zero speed issue, it is only the one I listed above. This should be able to be verified by Imzigali, zaygius, or Core Processor fairly easily. Tharridon is a double whammy due to the two punts and the "teleports" to the rock if you leave the area.
This was my second zero speed, it occured right after I was punted. Display shows me being 76 away from him. I used pet to get into combat and then kited him around until he punted. Not exactly the typical raid strat but w/e. You can see the zero run speed in the lower right hand part of my display. The other zero speed hit me when I got punted/warped to that spot on the hill that the playpen sends you to.
But that's not 100% accurate Graye. I can replicate the zero speed by simply entering the encounter unstealthed and then hit Escape. BAM zero speed.
My guess is the fix is because it crashes IWG... Haven't been in game yet to see if the change makes it more friendly with bosrids. Otherwise I agree one of the perks of this item was the hate reduction and it probably isn't worth wearing after this change. Change it back make people be responsible for checking their gear before IWG and if they forget tease them lots of other classes need to remove gear or adjust macros for IWG. Granted I don't know of any other item that causes the whole chunk to crash, but still I'd rather have a chunk crash once in a while when someone forgets than have the mythic nerfed.
Just tested it and still unable to start Bosrid's with it equipped - so that issue seems to be related to the duration of the HoT part. Anyway, on a positive note - I no longer have procing Bosrid's with it equipped as a problem - as with the removal of the healer hate mod from it I will not be using it any more.
good news, necro meat and orb are now instant. bad news, you still get the "that object is in use" message because we are so used to clicking more than once until we see the cast bar., but we already have the buffs. Be sure to watch your HP/Energy to see if you are getting the buffs !
Just an update and clarification the Runspeed bug is really a code bug and removing the area speed limitations should reduce the frequency until we can get the bug properly fixed. We are working on getting the performance upgrades to Test and then Live ASAP but they do require a lot of time to get working properly and we will update everyone as soon as we know actual dates.
