IOD Crafting Quest Progress Thread

I had this same issue 1 day ago. I end up having to remove a few pieces of adventuring gear and put them in my bag in another chunk. then Rift back to IOD before it worked for me.

Finally had time to log in. Logged in. Right clicked on the smelter. Nothing happened. Rifted out. Removed all adventuring gear to a bag. Rifted back. Right clicked on both the forge and the smelter. Nothing. *shrug*

On another odd note, my character's hair keeps turning white at log in. Only seems to be fixed if I go to customize at character select and load a saved template. When I came back in, the hair is fixed. .until I rifted back to Isle of Dawn. The hair was white again. May not be related at all, but who knows. *double shrug*

Are you using a 3rd party UI?

You can try deleting Vanguard's cache and see if that helps. With VG closed, navigate to the Vanguard/bin folder (the one that contains VGClient.exe), and rename/delete the Caches folder. It will be recreated on next start of the client.

If this doesn't help:

What is the name of the character having the issues?

Have you tried on another toon?

Where did you get the client from? Was it left over from Live, downloaded from our link, or somewhere else?

Noticed that during Outfitter Training: Using Utilities -7428, Yoshrin claims "while you can keep your hammer after using it..." This would be appropriate for a blacksmith, not a outfitter, so maybe he should be referring to a scraper or a needle?

Didn't see this mentioned although i could have missed it. Sometimes, but not often, when I begin to set up the table it will not let me add anything. I cancel, try again, and it works fine. There seems to be no particular pattern it just randomly happens at times. Not a big deal just wanted to let someone know.

The Devs recently gave us a new function for quests where if you need to obtain an item, but also use up that item, it won't count against the Obtain Item objective. With this, I have updated " Artisan's Saga: Fortify the Perimeter " so that if players make an item, use it, and then return to make the items, it will finally work as it should.

I know there might be other crafting quests on IOD that have this issue, but with a large number of players on IOD, I don't want to interrupt their gameplay right now to go through the entire questline. I'll get to it, just not today.

Quest giver - Ao Halfmoon

Current quest "More items for Yoshin - 7938"

NPC request is for 2 - weighted wood grips"

Crafted the items and are in my main inventory however the NPC does not recognize the items to complete the quest

I just ran this on my artificer and I'm not having trouble with it. It's a line in his dialogue, you hail him, and tell him you have the two grips. He takes them and that updates the quest.

I apologize I have finished every crafting quest on the island.

Then I read the quest like 4 more times and realized I was the error here. Not following the directions of the quest.

Quest works beautiful....
