Player Housing - initial content
Just a reminder to Content folks, when we start building areas like Player Housing zones, any partial or built houses will need to be replaced by the cornerstone object (example: Ra8001_Signs_lvl001_Cornerstone01) and the for sale signs (example: Ra1_P1_C1_IDsigns_sign004_forSale01_ver1).

While looking at our old homes was fun on New Telon, on the Content server, we'll be starting from scratch.
I was thinking though, we could build one of each kind of house in a specific area and furnish it, if you want. Something to look at, aspire towards, etc. Maybe owned by Devs or GMs.
Players actually >building< houses is probably quite a ways off, but I wanted to focus on removing them from the collected data up front.

Having model homes sounds like a great idea! Big sign in front, "Model homes open!"
Haiku is easy -
But sometimes it makes no sense.

I don't recall 'for sale' plots having a cornerstone. I think the 'for sale' sign was replaced with the cornerstone when someone bought the plot.

I thought they did. I wasn't sure so I went checking for housing sites and I found this one: http://www.tentonhammer.com/node/59954
On this pic you can see the block there for the Qalian one while he looks at the price of it:

Yup. From our own collecting, the "cornerstone" turns into the partially assembled structure when you buy the plot. Confident they were both there, though I agree it seems redundant. Perhaps the cornerstone block is to show the player "this is exactly the center of your house". WIthout it, how will you know?
You wouldn't place a For Sale sign in the middle of your kitchen, would you? No, it goes out front

Yeah I think that's what it was for. For guild hall plots, they were really far away from the sign.

I just thought of something else we need - a list of all house/structure types that can be built, and their cost. Maybe that's in the packets (Xinux)? If not, maybe someone can throw together a quick list. Can't be too many.

That is a great resource, indeed. I do not see "coin" costs anywhere though. Am I missing it? I'm talking about deed and upkeep costs, per unit.
