Bug 129: (Volt) Emotes and Head Movement
Bug ID : 129 - Emotes and Head Movement Bug Date : 2015/01/21 11:33:21 Assigned To : Volt Priority : Low Category : VGClient Sub-Category : Graphics: Other Severity : Standard Reproducible : Every timeDetails:
1. Log in a toon
2. Target an NPC
3. Try any of the following /emotes - /agree, /disagree, /crackneck (I'm sure there are others - any where the head moves in some fashion)
4. You'll notice that the head doesn't move
5. Untarget the NPC, repeat /emote, and you'll notice that the head will start moving
If you retarget the NPC, the head will also move. I could only cause this if you target an NPC first. I tested this in a couple different toons.
Originated From World: New Telon (1) Chunk : Isle of Dawn (1) Location : -11690 10532 611

Good find!
I have a pretty good idea about what to do about this (something I left out because I didn't see what it was good for), but it will require some undisturbed time at my desk to figure how to do it properly, so just a heads up that it might be a while before I actually fix it.

Ops, seems like an Heisenbug .
I started with following the steps to reproduce as above, and I could confirm the behaviour. But just once. Every other time since, my character shakes her head on /agree whatever I do or do not do. And I have tried from different computers and also on different days. My best guess now is that this is timing related, maybe some packet that doesn't always get fired right, but without any means to reproduce it I can only guess.
If anyone sees this behaviour again, or even better find more details on how to reproduce it, please post. Thanks.
