Re: Quest Hubs? Game areas, defined
Would have to add Xennumet key as a pretty hefty chain quest. Technically, you could say something like Wardship has tiers, thinking of the catalysts as tier levels, but it has more to do with games that have had several level expansions where one day you want to get t9 and then a little further dow...

Re: Flying Mounts
No I'm not suggesting an easy to get pegasus that keeps upgrading as you level or something like that. The intention was more that you cannot open a box and flip a flyer to a level 10 character. There could be such an item but it would not work any differently from a horse without some kind of flyin...
Re: Mentoring
I thought this was a neat feature but it lost its bloom. Partially, from having to swap out abilities, but mostly, the mentored character remained overpowered at the lower level. If that was not the case, and if you could loot city plat that was still meaningful, it would be pretty attractive, but i...

Re: Content from 10-40ish
Karrus Hakrel is a great example, it became one of my favorite places. Here's what I found: Fallen Adventurers was fun, playable, and gave you pretty good drops for the work put in. Lord Obsiderru mostly dropped junk. The raid mob's placeholder was stronger--the raid thing simply had a ton of health...

Re: Z-Axis / Leashing
I remember both not being able to scratch Flory trees and soloing Majordomo by using the "jump off the stairs". Also remember Trials bugging when they leashed because you touched the wall. Leashing is pretty much necessary. For those trees, it seemed appropriate, punting you was their defe...

Re: Furious makes me furious
Masuke Whitewind is a good example--first shot is pretty much fatal without an invuln, he goes furious every something like 47 seconds, also has flurry attacks and a type of poison to 15 meters. While not a top-end fight, it's pretty fun if you are not in a top-end guild. I agree it was well overdon...

Re: Flying Mounts
The variety of mounts is very cool; the abundance of them, not. Now first of all, if the game works the same way, I can exploit a rental mount to make it last indefinitely--so the whole point is moot. Might want to look at this. I would suggest making the speed factor as the gate. Any lowbie could e...

Re: Quest Hubs? Game areas, defined
I think it is mostly a term of convenience. One of the last "hubs" I played was around Lost Cove or Poison Cove--an area southeast of where swamp armor stuff is done. There were no breadcrumbs or any kind of links to guide you there. Chances are you would never see it, maybe unless you wer...

Re: Learned abilities
The two things I remember are that you do not need a previous version in order to learn the next one.
Also, I believe the speed of learning scaled with intellect, so it would typically take melee more go rounds to absorb the knowledge than a caster.

Re: Features Forum
It may be automatic, but something I liked was the snarky combat log. For instance, at least at times, it called Xenn sahaugin; when a mob resisted your dread knight's dreadful countenance, it became "less T E R R I F I E D" with the caps in tutti frutti colors; sometimes it informed you t...
