Re: Reincanation ?
Same boat as Jakkal. We made alts and explored the world. There was so much world to explore it took us years to do it, and many many alts.
I don't think VG needs a grindy life extender when it has so many places to go and see.

Re: Race relations
A lot of that stuff could be repurposed into other content. I don't agree with taking away art assets, that's for sure. Especially when it seems so difficult for us to add more in ourselves. Use whatever we can, right?

Re: Race relations
There's been a few discussions on this and if I recall the plan is to bring back the old factions from before the City Faction coin system was put into place.

Re: Believable Drops
If I recall, EQ had a bit of what you're talking about; where if you saw a mob wielding something they were likely to drop it. I do like the idea of a 'smart loot' system and with the way crafting is in this game (base+component+tier+grade) you could probably make a pretty good random item generator...

Re: Class Points
Other thing of note is that for Disciples they didn't get nearly as many points as the Druids did. Abilities tended to only cost one or two points. Unfortunately I don't recall the numbers but I recall the fade being pretty quick, maybe a point every other second or so.

Re: Hilsbury Manor
This stuff was taken out pretty early, if I recall. I started a little bit after the game launched (a year or so I think? I forget exactly) and it wasn't available at that point. I think there was something broken with the vampire curse part itself so they had to remove it. Totally a shame though be...

Re: Thoughts on Isle of Dawn
It has, but it's a good indication of why the man-power put behind Isle of Dawn was a bad thing. There were more existing opportunities that could have been used instead of... This.

Re: Thoughts on Isle of Dawn
Missives were definitely a nice idea though poorly implemented. It would be nice if the items rewarded from them were more likely to be towards your archetype (far too often as a Disciple I got plate rewards). As far as filling the 20s void... There are a lot of little dungeons and areas that would ...

Re: Thoughts on Isle of Dawn
The thing with that line of comment though (if there are no people, you should have Isle of Dawn because the rest of the game is so big) is disingenuous to the new players. It doesn't give them a real understanding of what the game is like. Isle of Dawn was designed to capture mass market appeal. Ma...

Re: Thoughts on Isle of Dawn
Lamprey, I'm going to flat out say I pretty much disagree with everything you've said. Isle of Dawn was a stop-gap to try and mitigate the appearance of a top-heavy community. It was a way to bring everyone new to the game to the same place and make it seem like the game was more populous than it wa...
