Thank you. That fixed my issue. I've now made as far as the character creation screen!

My screen looks like the following. Doesn't match yours, so I'll try the link!

I see a screen similar to that, only with two buttons..connect and cancel. And no options to create a character.

So I have the same trouble. The launchers launches, lets me login, runs vanguard, then I get to a server select screen which is empty with options to connect or cancel, connect does nothing, and cancel closes the game.
