So I think that list of races is for bitstream use, because John is right, the race id's in login don't seem to match up with what shows up in the world. The server can determine which NPC's are sent to the client, so an NPC that is very far away can be sent so the client knows where it's at. However, I'm not sure if there is a draw distance limit built into the client somewhere.

You are correct Sacred. Basically the client and server use the Unreal engine although they have some different pieces. They also share some code to calculate things like physics. They actually went 15 minutes longer than the quoted time. It shutdown around 6:15 PST.
