Hold onto your butts, folks. Here we go with another chunk.


I'm just going to post the quests for now. The hailing, pathing, etc I usually do later anyway.

Adventuring Quests:

The Marauders Trail - Complete. I haven't done the path for Culkrahk (or his homies) yet.
Zihurr Invasion: Finding the Mound - Complete. Changed the objective from "Mound of the Zihurr found" to "Locate the Mound of Zihurr", as it made more sense being less passive.
Zihurr Invasion: Culling the Gatherers - Complete
Zihurr Invasion: Royal Extermination - Complete. Turn-in and Completion text were missing. Had to make it up.
Blood Drinkers - Complete. Mobs have not been put on a day/night cycle yet.
Renton's Request - Complete.
The Horse's Mouth - Complete. Did not set up the repeatable one yet. Also, only set it up so surface ants drop the quest item. There's no point setting it up for the ants down deep. (Realistically, They wouldn't be getting the grain).

Today's work:

Zihurr Invasion: Illuminating Investigations - Complete. For now. Probably need to redo it a bit later.
Zihurr Invasion Luminous Queries - Complete

Note: There is a big empty spot in the Ant Cave, like we didn't collect any mobs or anything down there. I think this would be a *great* spot for a Yiminil style boss battle.

Today's work:

Sisters: Sampling The Source - Complete
Sisters: Aniike Willems - Complete
Sisters: Licorice And Lettuce - Complete

I realize I've gotten slower. As we start moving up in the levels, we've started to run into a problem where we're missing quest information/data. That makes the process take a very long time.

I was checking some of the level 40ish quests and so many of them are missing necessary quest information. It may get to a point where we're writing everything from scratch based on what we can remember. Sad. But we'll do it if we have to.

Today's Work: I'm kind of skipping around. A lot of quest info is missing for Renton, so I'm mostly trying to get done what I can without using up a lot of time looking up quest info.

The Shepherd and His Flock - Complete.
Stippe's other quests are missing info, will come back to it.

Infiltration Gone Bad - Complete. Had to create turn in text. Talmund Veers next quest and hail info is missing from the DBE

In the Fields - Complete. Set up just as annoying as I remember it from live.

Seeds for the Future Complete. Oh look, a quest for those useless seeds. If you are on this quest at the same time you do "In The Fields", then yes, it will ding everytime you get another "Some Plant Seeds" item. There's no way for us to turn this off, so if it annoys you, go turn this quest in and continue with "In the Fields".

If you do "Seeds for the Future" and "In the Fields" at the same time, there's a little bit of weirdness going on there. But you should be able to do them okay. I don't have time to look into it tonight. Yes, it takes forever.

I'm in another work-glut so my updates might be few and far between for the next few weeks.

Today's Updates: Good news - I found some of the missing quests on a completely different NPC. Unfortunately some are still missing that I haven't found yet. I'm just going to try to plow through what we do have and come back around to the others afterwards.

Charming Isn't It? - Complete. Except I'm not sure which mobs drops the item that starts the quest (Rekk Animal Totem). I'm going to leave this alone for now until I get into more of these quests which might give me a hint. Logic tells me that it should drop from the animal trainer. But there's no other quests that goes that far deep into the scar, thus I feel like no one would get to it to get the item. I might set it up to drop from all the Rekk Hobgoblins later.

Learning New Magics - Mostly Complete. You're supposed to target certain beasts in an area and they follow you back to the questgiver. Except we don't have the follower version of those mobs available. So it does everything except that part.

The Medicine Man - Complete. Also added the "Charming Isn't It" quest starting item on the Prophets so people can at least get that quest too.

Ants Underfoot - The very basics of this quest is complete, in that you have to kill Rendjaw and get his head. That part works. What needs to be added are the waves of mobs that attack before Rendjaw spawns. I'll have to figure out how to do this one.

Update: Okay, I have a rudimentary version of this working. There are waves of ants now, and it requires that you run out and back to the scarecrow at the farm to spawn the waves. I'm currently working on setting it up to spawn the waves when the previous wave dies.

Update: This works a little closer to how I thought it should be. But if you run off, you might need to abandon and retake the quest.

Update: For my final act of the night, I set it up so that if you run outside of the field, the quest will fail and auto abandon. I did this because if you run off and the mobs despawn, there's no way to get them to respawn. You would have to abandon and retake it anyway. This also makes the encounter slightly more challenging, and I never think there's anything wrong with that.

Skipping Stem the Tide for now because the information for it is missing. I'm hoping it's on another NPC, which I'll be checking as I work on other quests.

Tharridon's Quarry: Thaumaturgy In Action - Complete

Tharridon's Quarry: Krendal's End - Complete

An Embarassing Loss
- Complete

Sisters: The Sanders Homestead
- Complete. If I remember right, this was supposed to spawn fairies that go to RK. But we don't have them in the DBE that I could find. So we can't add that in. If we think it's necessary, we'll add it in.

Just two more left in the Sisters quest, but I need to take a break from it now (Most of the info is missing for it.)

Today's work:

Learning New Magics - Has now been set up so the NPC you tame is replaced with a follower that will follow you back to the questgiver.
The Old Veteran - Complete now that the NPC exists once more.

Jumping back to work on this now that IOD doesn't require my attention much these days.

Today's work:
-Setting up some of the spawn locations (Piling mobs on top of each other)
-Set up the Truthseeker Fairies to spawn only during the day.
-Set up Altered Bloodthief to spawn only at night (Except for one that's flying above NIghtspring, not sure what's up with that one, it has a separate spawn ID from the others, so for now I'm leaving it alone in case it's a quest-related mob).

Quests:

Stem the Tide - Working, but not like how I want it to. I need one of the better scripters to take a look at it. It does work as is, though. Just don't let anyone else take your kills. Update: Oncalupe is looking into this now.

Sisters: Purifying The Hethepool - Complete. Turn-in text was missing. I made up what seemed appropriate. If anyone knows what she actually said, let me know.

Sisters: Hethe's Demise - Complete. Mostly. First, the quest dialogue is missing. I'm going to have to make something up. In the meantime I put up a placeholder asking people to contact me if they know what was said.
Secondly, I don't know what the original order was to click the rod against the rocks. So I made one up. Have fun! It's not hard.
Third, It's hard as hell to click the rod sometimes, I think the game thinks you're moving when you're not. We'll look into it.
Fourth, it wanted you to restore the toads. We haven't done cleanup yet and there's a bunch of toads to despawn/respawn, so we're going to leave this one alone until we do cleanup. Cleanup is the last thing we do in a chunk, so it might be a while. If we tried to despawn/respawn all the toads now, I think it would be detrimental to the game's server.

The last two major things I need to do for the Sister's questline is to put pre-reqs on the quests, and where Aniike despawns, respawns as a fairy, go through her dialogue, and then she despawns/respawns back into her human form. I'm not going to have time to do that tonight.

Stem the Tide - Now working nicely. Increased kill count from 1 to 3, since it didn't make much sense to kill just one. Quest respawns Raiders until complete, in case another player takes a kill. Raiders will mow through the sheep until stopped.

Aniike Willems will now change into a fairy after a dialogue prompt once you finish Sisters: Purifying The Nightspring. When you go through her dialogue, she'll revert back. Right now the database is respawning her despite her already being respawned by scripts. So after someone does it, there will be multiple of her up. Just ignore this for now, the devs are looking into it.

Also she'll offer the next quest before you've talked to her as a fairy. Right now there's no pre-req for listening to a story, so Oncalupe is working on a flag preq for us.

Other Work:

Aiding Anaelia: Complete.
Expected Exchange: Complete (This one sends you to Silverlake). Checked Silverlake and you can turn in there.
Zihurr Invasion: Transmission Termination - Complete. I had to create the quest text as it was missing from the database, but my goal is that no one will notice just from reading it.
