Currents

I'd love to see the currents brought back. Not just a few streams with working current scattered out in the wild, but all flowing water should have current, and it did, before they padded all the sharp edges in the game (like removing KoS factions).
I'm biased though, because my first real good laugh in game was because of the current. Myself and a dwarf friend were running through Leth on our way to the vendor area. We were running behind the palace and instead of crossing the bridge, he tried to jump the aquaduct and fell short. The current quickly swept him out of the aqua duct into Vol Tuniels' bowl, then over the side of that, and down into the newbie area lake. He survived the fall thanks to a water landing, but died soon after to a swarm of low level newbie area mobs. They were the caster orbs (koan sprites, I think), and made quick work of him.
Yes, I liked that Vanguard wasn't safe and that even mobs many levels below you can kill you, if there's enough of them. That's also why I liked factions being influenced by race and class, and being KoS to some. The fact that death was lurking around every corner made the world come alive for me - that is immersion.
