Hi, I know I asked this about 5+ years ago and I'm truly sorry if it has been answered I know you all work very hard on this in your free time. But from my last check, this was never answered. Back in BETA and LAUNCH, there was a place in cis, CSI, some level 20-30 areas may be higher, I do not remember the place, date, or time. but I do remember there were SPECIAL books you could buy for 62 PLAT now at launch 62 plat was very huge no one could have been able to afford this for years to come, but after about 1-2 years of VG there were tons of bots and gold sellers/ miner bots. I know many people do not remember this, or the items and coding were deleted. so no record of this. but those 62 plat books use to give u insight to, speed, teleport, block, damage and soo many other things i do not remember, but I do remember at the launch of VG they were there being sold for 62 plat. does anyone remember this or have any insight to this? I would love to know what they actually did or what they were used for.

I remember them, but I never knew what they did. It was that upper 20's zone in Qalia, Coterie Infineum Sanctuary. I thought they had something to do with time travel(or at least that is the impression the flavor text gave me, also the boss of the area is called Kronus Infineum).

Yes, I am so glad you replied. I been waiting for other but i guess no one eles remember these items. I think right after launch they had a double exp weekend, then A ton of bots came out, they would farm nodes mining, wood, ect there were tons of bots selling items like crazy. Only those cheaters knew what they did because only they could afford those books. I think 1 month after launch those books got taken out because of those cheaters. It would be so awsome to know what they acutally did!

On a side note, There are tons of "launch" secrets" that not many people knew about even more secrets later on in vg life but the early launch ones are the most secrets I care about and love and would love to know more about even tho that will never come true

so i guess im the oldest one here, lol. still waiting and hoping old school vg players reply to this. again only the dupers, hackers or developers know what this did

I played in late beta and from launch to sunset. I don't remember or know anything about these books. I know they had buffmasters and other buffing items in BETA and I wonder if this was something they forgot to delete before it went live. Considering their fired most of the staff shortly after launch, I wouldn't be surprised.

hey jakkal, I know you, but you probably don't remember me. I think I knew you as a gm? or a squire? It was late in vg when we talked but we talked quite a few times on here in game. These books are very real and were in game at launch. not many people knew about them and very doubtful we will ever know their meaning again only the cheaters,"who could afford 62 plat and tested it" and the old devs, know what they did. they might have done nothing or they could have done something. we will never know.

I played early beta till sunset i know 100% they were in game at the time. No clue what they did but would love to know

There was a guy in tursh who kept trash of everyones #'s of quest done, mobs killed, and many more stats i cant remember. he was next to the frogs above the trush village at launch he is no longer there

I'm sorry, there was a guy in trush who kept track of everyone's progress, it was all who had the most completed quest, it was all most mobs slayed, most exp, and soo many more stats he showed the top of every stat in game hes gone now

Or a guy in thrash who kept trush of everyone's #'s?

Or a guy in a truck who kept everyone's trash?

Or a guy in a truss who tracked trash over everyone?
