Loooool, I think it’s more of an inherent game bug from pre sunset. I remember swimming to shore more than once and something weird happening when I got to shore, I just clipped though the ground and kept swimmng under the map.

It happens...it happened in the retail game. Use /say .rift 1 to get out if you cannot fly out the way you came in.
