Can't register for the game via Launcher

Hey there just getting into the game. I played years ago and wanted to give it a try again.
But certainly I can't register, when clicking on the "Create an Account"-Button on the Launcher I get to my browser with
the following text:
[phpBB Debug] PHP Notice: in file /usr/www/vgo/www/modules/common/dbconfig.php on line 9: Undefined variable: sql_db
Fatal error: Uncaught Error: Class name must be a valid object or a string in /usr/www/vgo/www/modules/common/dbconfig.php:9 Stack trace: #0 /usr/www/vgo/www/index.php(8): include_once() #1 {main} thrown in /usr/www/vgo/www/modules/common/dbconfig.php on line 9
Is this a known issue?
