Week 1: Progress!
All,
As you know, the initial phases of this project are "underground" until we make a significant breakthrough (like getting client->server communicating). Here's a quick update so you know something is happening. I will likely only be posting these updates as significant goals are met, so if the forum seems a little dull, that's why. Feel free to post questions or comments if you wish.
[list:3a8scrjz]Scatman has started on the basic foundation of the VGOEmulator C++ core (configs, logging, threading, basic mutex) and has made impressive progress in just a couple of days.
Xinux has been picking apart packets of live data trying to make sense of them and is making great progress as well preparing us for the data tasks ahead.
Me? Well, without a database (yet) I am just cheering them on and coming up with design concepts.[/list:u:3a8scrjz]
Our initial task is to get a framework built independent of the Vanguard game itself and then build on it over time. We can then reuse this foundation for all other components needed to build a VGOEmu.
Thanks for your interest in our project
