Weapon Animation - Staff

I made a druid on New Telon a few days ago. I noticed today that her staff is on the floor dragging between her legs instead of on her back. The Z key does nothing to rememdy the fact. Neither does /autoattack. Z function and auto attack cycle the hand to hand combat pose.
Update: I died in Kao9n's Rush and rifted to Khal and my weapon was in my hand and also still had a copy dragging the floor between character's legs. But I could attack with the one in my hand.
