Greetings! I am Arkaan. I hail most recently from p99, formerly old school EQer and VGOer.

I did enjoy p99 and still do. I enjoyed EQ live back in the day. I was very interested in VGO when it came out! I played it for several months, but ultimately I did not enjoy live VGO, in fact I was terribly disappointed by it. I saw many flaws and problems that I wished I could change. Now perhaps I will have that opportunity.

I heard of VGOemulator from the P99 forums a while back, honestly I didn't think you guy had come as far as you have! I really can't imagine the amount of effort required in providing the framework for VGO EMU, I salute all of your efforts.

My main goal is to create a custom content server. I would like to create an entirely new MMO, but using only things like the world itself, the models, animations, etc. from VGO. This has been a dream of mine for quite a long time, and it's high time I got started =)

I have no idea what I am getting into at this point, or if what I want to do it even possible, but I will find out soon!

Having read nearly every thread in the forum, and followed the project thus far with great interest, I think it should be possible to create your own world from the EMU system that is being built here.

The devs are very thorough and are designing the system to be able to be configured by individual server administrators once the time comes.

There are some things that won't be able to be changed completely, but things like quests and dialog content should be simple enough. You will just need to learn some LUA and dig into the system and learn how it all works.

I too have designs to make at least a limited amount of custom content at some point

Glad to have you around, and please feel free to contribute to any of the threads and throw some ideas out there (or some code if you happen to know how to!).
