Class Influence
I don't know if anyone else noticed this, but class also influenced how the world perceived you, not just your race. One of the earliest examples I can remember was when I was doing a harvesting loop in Forest's Heart. The animals there were neutral to me (High Elf Ranger) - that included bears, wolves & snakes. Later an High Elf Peace Cleric came to help because the timber and firegrass were for her her sloop. Everything attacked her and seemed to interrupt every node. Animals well below her level had no issue attacking her if they pathed anywhere near her. I honestly think her 'help' slowed things down.
I also recall something similar regarding some faerie mobs between 3R and NT. They were neutral to me (High Elf Ranger) and a Halfling Druid that our group had picked up along the way, but KoS to the rest of the group - as in, they ate my traveling companions (magic users always made quick work of us). None of them aggro'ed myself or the Druid until we assisted our dying companions. We were all within a level of one another, and aside from the Druid, almost always hunted together, so if one of us was KoS due to our adventuring history, then all of us should have been. The ones that got aggro just by walking by were a Dwarf Paladin, Vulmane Shaman & High Elf Cleric. After we wiped, myself and the druid were able to easily retrieve our tombstones due to our non-aggro status.
I'm sure others have had similar experiences. The faeries I can only guess at because we never went back (couldn't find them), but the animals were definitely influenced by class. The results were repeatable and predictable. That was my favorite harvesting loop for sloops, and I asked for help often.

Re: Class Influence
Isn't that more to do with faction relations though and not specifically the class you are?
If you are KoS to certain races/factions some of those animals in the same zone that is considered their "home land" can be KoS as well, which for some players, killing them was the only way to get positive faction back for other KoS factions/Races.
I had not noticed any of my classes having an affect on my relations with anything though.

Really?
So a Thestran human Ranger, a Thestran human Rogue and a Thestran human Necromancer would all have different start up faction, even though they are all the same race and all would've started in Tursh as their racial starting area?

Oh np at all Mithni, you had me scratching my head! lol
I know about the faction differences, I used to absolutely love being KoS to gnomes and Dark Elves lol, I even enjoyed levelling 8 level 50 diplomats, the KoS was a challenge to deal with in some area's depending on my level but I enjoyed it all the same.
Deltharien seemed to be talking about class differences though, or is that a misstype also?
I have personally in all my time in VG never seen this happen or heard about it happening, which is why I am intrigued
The only thing I can think of for this to occur is for the other person to have killed lot's of mobs that the mobs were friendly with or turning in Ancient plat faction coins and turning faction good for some and bad for others etc.
But for actual classes to have an impact on faction? I didn't think that was ever the case. I would love to read some more on this if anyone has links?

Re: Class Influence
No, classes never had an influence on the faction you had (at least as far as I remember ^^)

Oh wait... cleric you said =D
Lvl 12 cleric ability: Aegis of Blades I: Surrounds you with a shield of spinning blades that deals 104 to 113 damage to all opponents with 6m of you, every 3 secons. The shield lasts for 2 minutes...
Might have been just that
