Why the Rakurr nerfs?
Hi all great job so far! I’ve mostly been playing and enjoying my ranger thus far. Decided to reroll my old shaman and was kinda surprised to see that skin of Rakuur and Boon of Rakuur had been nerfed to the ground. 30% speed from skin of rakuur is very different from 75%-90%-105% that was the progression on live. Afaik 30% speed was a buff both rangers, shamans and druids got to cast on anyone.
Also boon of Rakuur is… not at all similar to what it was.
Speed of Rakuur and grace of rakuur are not even in the game from what I could gather from talking to other 50 shamans on the server. The patron specific buffs were never part of the bbo system on live. Any reason for the change/nerfs?

Re: Why the Rakurr nerfs?
Just to add also, the normal speed buff shamans, rangers and druids got before level 15 all were for 30% so having 30% movement speed on skin of rakurr would be utterly superfluous.
I noticed on my ranger that this buff is only giving 3% movement speed in its first iteration now and increasing very slightly but still nothing you would notice. This was a nifty buff for utility classes so I hope there is a way to separate it from the BBO which in my opinion worked best as the level 55 spell it was introduced as. Also noticed that boon of tuurgin gave evasion now. Boon of rakuur used to give evasion and dodge. So a puzzling change. I bug reported these things of course. I’m mostly curious as to if this is a conscious decision.

Hey Mackster,
You may have already checked it out but if not, you might wanna join the VGOEmulator discord channel. It's pretty active, so you should be able to get a response to your question in a more timely manner
Best of luck!

Re: Why the Rakurr nerfs?
The devs on our discord would have more information as to how this is set up, but I just checked some of the buffs we have. We go by what was recorded in Live VG. SOE moved the group run speed to Spirit's Bountiful Blessing, the BBO version. That's what we've gone by.
Skin of Rakurr does show 30% and it goes up to 45% by the time you get the level 50 version. I haven't tested those directly to make sure they've giving the exact amount, but that's also what we were going by. That might not be a nerf, it might be a calculation error.
If you didn't play VG up until sunset, they did some changes to all classes in about the last year of the game, including the BBO system. For example, in the BBO system, some classes got their specific numbers nerfed so that another class would have the full amount and be the "best buff", they didn't want that 30% stacked. They wanted only one class to have it. So that's why memories of how the game was and realities of how the game is now might not link up. And yes, several classes got nerfed from this one way or another.
Edit: Just checked with it devs and it appears (we're still looking into it) that the numbers posted (60%, 70% etc) were the BBO numbers for shaman. We reduced them so that they would be stackable with other buffs. Looks like Rakurr shaman got the BBO adjustment upward to be the best buff.
