This is really just chat, and I was not sure where to put it. Feel free to stick it where it should be, even the bin (trash)

When we discovered that the game was once again viable, we started by looking to see how far we could get with the various home town starts. We soon decided that, in order to cover the aspects of the game that we wanted, we should start all chars on the IOD. For a while we saw nothing to change that decision. Crafting was perhaps the main factor, and for myself also the obtaining of a pegasus after finishing the adventure saga at the Temple.

But now crafting has suddenly taken off. After some confusion on my part between 'continental style' quests and 'tier' quests, I found that the 'continental style' quests are all in place and working well. These are apparently available from level 1 and prepare the way for the 'tier' quests starting at level 11 crafting, which are not yet available. In doing these I had to visit cities which are far from fully operational but which are starting to come to life...Mekalia, Drakhnarg, Hathor Zhi, Leth Nurae, West Targonor, Ahgram.... All this got me hooked on exploring. Fascinating to see the rows of npcs, like those warriors in China, all lined up ready to be brought back to life, and then to find growing corners of new activity in the cities.

We deal with the occasional mob, but mainly exploring is the thing.

To my amazement I discovered only yesterday that we can now do the crafting introduction in Mekalia and Drakhnarg. I have not checked other towns yet, but this completely changes our current game strategy. Last time that I started a gnome at home town Mekalia, I had to work my way down as far as Qa Riverbank before I found any signs of life.

So may I say WOW !!! I am going to restart chars of all races and look at their Home Town starts again. Seeing areas in the throes of restoration is often more interesting than the finished product. (Examples available if required.) It is unique to be able to watch a game being put together piece by piece. Beats stretching for end game (is there one?)

Congrats developers, it is getting really exciting for us nobodys too.
