Crafting "missing flag"

I have been denied recipes at level 10, reason given being "Missing Required Flag...Qalian Artisan (200)". I thought that level 11 was the critical level, so I am confused.
What does this mean and how can I get Artisan (200)? :?

Regular crafting recipes have not been set up yet past T1. A lot T2 recipes start at level 8 (because you need to be level 11 just to do them). So you're not missing anything. This is part of the rebuilding process. You've hit the wall that we haven't gotten to yet.

and yet I got the impression from recent posts elsewhere on the forum that we can in fact do the level 11 qualifying quests (whatever they are called). OK, thanks for stopping me from banging my head on the wall...it was getting painful. Good to see the work in the IOD crafting centre over the last several days.

Is it worthwhile my pushing on to level 11 for the time being?

I started working on the Tier quests and the specialization quests, but we found that we did not have the full functionality to set this up at the time, so I had to leave it. That might be the impression you got.

Well, eventually we'll get there. You can always set yourself to whatever level you want, but you'll still have to get the skillups the old fashioned way. So it's up to you.

T1 Work Orders have recently been set up, so you can play around with those if you'd like. Just a note that there are some that are not set up yet, and we believe they were part of special WO NPCs, factions, or quests. They're in the minority but they're out there, and there's no way to tell the client not to show them right now.

I have been enjoying myself hunting up the various crafting centres, including Hathor Zhi, Leth Nurae, New Targanor and Ahgram. I have done several of the Learn Qalian, Learn Thestran, Learn Kojan quests , which even include Mekalia, and found all the support instructors in place and responding well. Mainly outfitter and some artificer so far. This with level 3 to 5 crafters.
I could not find the artificer Linnike Veira this evening at New Targanor, but the whole place was coming apart anyway - possibly my lack of sufficient RAM.
So yes, great stuff. "Lang may your lumb reek" (wishing you long life and health) as they say where I come from.

Could I please refer to the original question, which was never answered. It may not be relevant at present but I, for one, would like to know, so that I can programme my tasks accordingly.

I have a char now, level 15, at level 11 crafting, having done all 3 regional styles and with harvesting 224 , primary and secondary both at 220. Is this as far as I can go in crafting/harvesting at present ?

If so I can happily spend my time bringing all my other chars up to these levels. I am conscious of frequent and welcome designer presence in crafting areas, and am quite content to await developments.

I am solely seeking information, too pleased to have the game available again. I would help if I was capable.

Apologies ... that first sentence was badly phrased. Yes I got an answer which was relevant in general, but it was the "missing flag" thing that I was hoping to get explained.

It means you need to have 200 faction in Qalian Artisan. I don't believe Faction has been set up for things outside of quests, so I don't believe there's a way currently to get 200 faction. It might also be tied into the Tier Quests, which haven't been set up yet either.

Faction flags are benchmarks that allow you to pick up certain quests or get certain recipes.

Since Crafting has not been set up past T1 (With the exception of work orders), no you can't go any further.

Thanks for your patience. I take it that the Tier Quests that you refer to are perhaps the level 11 batch, as I have already completed those which are available at least at level 3 or 4. I was surprised to find them available at such a low level, and all working well.

I note "with the exception of work orders", and may poke around at them a bit and at some of the regional variations now available to me.

I am enjoying it, odd what keeps retired academics happy.

No, the tier quests aren't available at all. The one you're thinking of is a tutorial quest that tells you about the Tier quests. The actual tier quests aren't in yet.
